What Do You Wish For The Next Expansion?
Last month Blizzard announced that they'll have more information on what's coming next for Hearthstone in mid March. That means we are rapidly coming up on this date and that it's about time we posed this question to you:
What do you wish for the next expansion? It can be anything. A theme. A game mechanic. The absence of something. Anything.
So, pretend you have Zephrys the Great in front of you and that he will give the exact thing you ask for.
What do you wish for Hearthstone's next expansion?
More Cards for burgle rogue and plz tess stay in standart
Battlegrounds with a complete reward system in place as well as a competitive league that has a entry fee with rewards similar to Arena. (Also for it to finally be out of beta).
Finally some good low costs Legendary for Warlock. WITHOUT DISCARD.
Some like Khadgar or Arugal would be great.
A good Legendary Minion, without Discard, for 1-3 Mana and Warlock.
Ramp druid, some crazy sinergy with heals for priest , control warrior , finilay some sense deck for paladin , tempo rogue , hand warlock , big spell control mage , control shaman , whatever aggro/midrange hunter...
good cards for priest... and a well balanced game
I'd like that there will be a lot of new players!
I suggest:
-Giving new players a lot of special dust meant only to craft wild cards to make them feel they start with something and can enjoy wild
-Selling Hearthstone REAL cards in the shops that you can collect and claim in the game through a special code, this way you can also trade with friends before claiming the code!
If Blizz gives us these 2 things, I can stay without gold and/or expansions for months!!
an expansion with just cards from Hearthcards and r/Customheartstone
Leeroy = Hall of Fame !!!
HoF Leeroy. That is all.
Yes please!
I have Golden Leeroy, i can't wait to get that sweet dust :)
1. Weekday global card bans for ranked that people can nominate. The elo-ban system from Urban Rivals card game, maybe you heard about that.
2. More in-game options like auto-squelch already was suggested. Seriously, the ingame menu lets you only change the resolution, graphic quality and the sound, there's nothing that makes your game quality better.
3. Advanced animation skip mechanic.
An expansion themed around the Blood Elves and Silvermoon. It's my favorite race, and I really love their lore!
How about trading some of the cards? I understand that could be potentially crippling for the monetization part, but what if you offered at a cool down, or offer some pass that let's you do it frequently
If highlander decks, are still being supported, they should make it so you have to the one of kind from the beginning of the game instead of when being cast.
Less 0 mana cards, like Togwaggle and Dragonqueen Alex. Right now the amount of 0 mana cost cards can cast in one turn is just plain stupid (4 cards from Gala, Togwaggle 3 cards, Dragonqueen 2 cards. Its just stupid amount.
Here are my 3 wishes:
1. The Octogon (new game mode): This is a ladder just like Standard or Wild, but it has a regular and random set rotations. At the start of the month, randomly choose 8 expansions and/or adventures. There are currently 18 of these choices not including Classic/Basic cards. So I would also include Classic/Basic as the 19 choice. These chosen 8 would form it's own meta game and would last one full month. If you felt that 1 month was not long enough, make it 2 instead. This mode would be completely independent of any new sets being released and would not necessarily include the new expansions. Also, you should announce which 8 expansions are included about a week ahead of time to the change.
2. Tavern Brawl Feedback. Being able to vote on and rate Tavern Brawls on a regular basis. And a place to be able to suggest new ideas for Tavern Brawls.
3. Duality (new game mode): For both Wild and Standard. When Deck Building you get to choose 2 Classes instead of 1. All cards from those classes are now legal deck building choices. But because we want some semblance of balance, your deck MUST contain a minimum of 10 cards from each chosen class. So you couldn't build a Control Warlock deck with 2 Pyroblasts for finishers. It also means you cannot include more than 10 neutral minions/cards. The whole point of this new game mode is to impose deck building restrictions but allow more freedom for combos and minion interactions.
3) so that when designing cards they'd have to keep them balanced not just in-class, but also with all of the new and old cards from the other classes?
duality = best constructed mode ever
Not necessarily. Keep in mind that with all the Discover cards, there is an aspect of that as well. Rogues and Priests are able to acquire non class cards fairly easily.
But the Duality mode would not necessarily need to be balanced ahead of time. If a card or combination of cards causes an issue, simply ban the card for this mode.
The idea is give the game more longevity by giving players 'new' classes by combining 2 of them into one deck.
Rogue can do it because it's its trait. Rogues steal. But it can't consistently get the card they want, sometimes they'll be lucky, sometimes they won't. Rogue is also good at bouncing minions back in hand, for instance. And a system that requires continuous bans that follow the meta every day, and banning cards that are OP in other classes might end up crippling the class the card was designed for.. too much space for chain reactions and it would need a huge team following the meta and taking decisions just to keep an idea of balance.
