What Do You Wish For The Next Expansion?
Last month Blizzard announced that they'll have more information on what's coming next for Hearthstone in mid March. That means we are rapidly coming up on this date and that it's about time we posed this question to you:
What do you wish for the next expansion? It can be anything. A theme. A game mechanic. The absence of something. Anything.
So, pretend you have Zephrys the Great in front of you and that he will give the exact thing you ask for.
What do you wish for Hearthstone's next expansion?
I'm an wild player with a decent collection and i would appreciate if future cards will not make older cards obsolete (especially legendaries). They did a good job so far releasing lots of cards that synergize with older cards. Also, some more fun cards with unique effects would be nice :)
- More new classes (DK, monk, DH)
- New ladder mode with rotating sets to add a lot more diversity to the meta
- A new tribe
- Rewards for doing battlegrounds
- Allow quests to be completed in battlegrounds
- Updated AI opponents, to the point that they fight like pros
New classes are impossible tbh.
I really really like your idea of a new ladder mode with rotating sets.... They could change it up every month or so you have a new meta without releasing a new set! Also it would give the old sets so much more value since they can be used in a different mode. Really hope this sees the daylight...
Also, new class is not what Blizzard should focus on imo

It says next expansion. Why are ppl talking about economy, dust, new modes etc?
Id like a Burning legion theme. Cool hero cards like in KtfT. I read about the plagues when DoD was release, and found «the plague on undeath» that created the burn legion or scourge. Rafaam also mention this plague in one of the videoes that was released for DoD. Thats my wild guess for what its worth.
more singleton cards for decks
All I want is expansion with Illidan as main villain. But i guess they don't have it prepared
First I'd like them to step away from the year long story arc for a while. I've burned out on the heroes and villains alike. I'd like to see a Warlords of Draenor theme as I am designing a custom expansion around that (I know that's a hated expansion) or a Pandaria theme. I'd like a mechanic that sort of builds on the theme of spirits from Rumble but instead having the value come from the card itself rather than comboing. Like a garrison that spawns 2 lads a turn but is targetable. As mentioned before, I'd like to step away from the year long story and have a new adventure and new "Dungeon run" each expansion. I don't think the most recent story has any replay value.
It would be nice to be "rewarded" for having three losses, akin to receiving gold for three wins (others have suggested increasing the gold amount for this too, and I agree).
Perhaps we could get 50 dust for three losses (maybe that's a little high but I'm sure it's negotiable), but only if a match runs long enough so people can't abuse the system.
To me, it feels like the biggest waste of time to spend 10-20 minutes on a loss and have nothing to show for it. Also, I feel this would drive more F2P users to stick it out in ranked as they can make progress towards a more competitive deck.
I wish for dual tribe tag with the introduction of the undead tag, but if I remember an earlier post it is very unlikely that it will ever happend.
Guess ill have to keep on dreaming.
Each expansion I always want one thing: The absence of an archetype that was dominant the last one. This time it was aggro, so I hope control becomes better.
A year that’s not story based. I liked the year of the dragon and it’s story, but thats about the best we will probably get. Maybe they could do it next year but I hope not this one.
Dont send Leeroy to wild, its just proving blizzard hates charge.

My wishes:
Achievements. Not just individual achievements that are achieved once, such as playing x amount of murlocs, spells, etc. With gold rewards or new cards.
A new mode. A normal cooperative mode and a BG cooperative mode such as 4 vs 4 or 8 vs 8.
Each expansion comes with an adventure with new cards with the decks created by us and another with the Dungeon Run mode.
United tribes. Minions that have more than one tribe in their text.
Brawls. That you get rewarded apart from a classic pack also a pack of the new expansion that is currently.
Store That you can buy wild adventures with gold.
Ranked. As of rank 10, give you the epic at the end of the month of the chest, get both rewards of the chest in standard and wild.

Similar to World of Warcraft, Achievement system would be a game-changer for me. Imagine having multiple goals to work for, not just general Achievements for winning x times with a class, but also miscellanous or random ones, perhaps for winning with a particular deck composition or hitting the face for insane amounts of damage. The rewards could span from gold to dust or even card backs and heroes for more challenging ones. It could easily be incorporated into Battlegrounds too, which would fix the reward system there and create a new incentive to play. There are a lot of Achievement hunters playing blizzard games and I think they would feel rewarded for playing a little out of the box in a seasoned game like that. There are currently a few "hidden" achievements in the game, for example winning 1000 games or winning 500 ranked games with a class to earn its golden portrait, so the system already has its roots and I could see it grow exponentially.
What I have wished for the last couple years - a coop mode. Similar to the couple of Tavern Brawls where you and an opponent have to work together to beat the AI/Big Bad. This could be as simple as a new Hero that once played requires you and the opponent to both meet some goal (get both to fatigue or something - and then you BOTH win), or better an actual AI-based opponent where you're matched up to face off against it with another player and there's an actual strategy for replayability.

2) More rewards for heroic mode;
3) More cosmetics;
3) Remove of the classic set from Standard;
4) More events.
Less RNG based cards. All it does it reward the lucky.
Less one-card combos that can win by themselves. Nothing like winning 99% of the game, then someone playing one card and the RNG gods ripping it out of your hands and putting it to theirs, because, reasons.
Better rewards for clearing Heroic level content. Getting a card back is rather underwhelming. Atleast some packs or something.
Larger deck minimums. Decks are way to consistent. Seeing the same decks with the exact same draw, card for card, gets stale.
More tribes and synergy with them.
The "single mom" spam posts appearing to be banned.
For me personally I would really like a Legion set. One with Kil'Jaeden and Archimonde. I can't think of anything specific but I would really love to touch on one of the greatest enemies of Azeroth in history.
Introduce more healing effects please, if highlander decks are still out there, maybe you should consider moving Reno Jackson into evergreen set
