What Do You Wish For The Next Expansion?
Last month Blizzard announced that they'll have more information on what's coming next for Hearthstone in mid March. That means we are rapidly coming up on this date and that it's about time we posed this question to you:
What do you wish for the next expansion? It can be anything. A theme. A game mechanic. The absence of something. Anything.
So, pretend you have Zephrys the Great in front of you and that he will give the exact thing you ask for.
What do you wish for Hearthstone's next expansion?
Although it wouldn't make a difference right now, I've always really wanted an overcosted neutral targeted polymorph effect as a safety valve so we don't get old cubelock scenarios. Beyond that, I'd really like more cards to interact with un-interactable card types like disabling quests or specifically shutting down or reverting hero cards. Non-rotating hand disruption would also be really cool. Coldlight was awesome for that before they booted it out of classic for reasons I will never actually understand.
Overall I just want more non-tribe-specific tech options, I guess.
I think a card for disabling quests is a bit too and a bit too 'feels bad', as those decks are often built a round the quest.
However, maybe a card with something like "Your opponents quest will fail in three turns" could be more balanced and add a fun sense of tension.
1) Only warrior could have charge so hall of fame leeroy and rocketeer
2) halls of valor/hellhiem expansion (more titan stuff/heroes of the past)
3) monthly achievements
4) more standard card unlocks with solo adventure
5) change dust cost of legendary cards to 800/1600 instead of 1600/3200
6) Most of all i wish Team 5 would not be afraid to take big risks in changes to the game and not hesitate to revert the changes if they don't work.
A bunny expansion! :DDDD
A not so wild mode where different combination of old expansions can be played but not too wild. Perhaps combination changes every week. I miss old cards.
A fixed search UI bug. It goes on top of my desktop hearthstone and is very clunky.
A viable shuffle cards for my currently shuffle rogue meme deck.
Also, more pandas please.
I had the searchbar bug for YEARS! I was just thinkinking i was the only one, at this point!
Really? Thats sad to hear :c. I just got it 2 weeks ago
I have it since HS was released on tablet devices. In fact on mobile the rearchbar goes on top so that the keyboard does not cover it, I think is related.
We should report it! But where.. Is super annoying i cant use it well like my whole deck building relies on it!
I wish for hearthstone to be fun and interactive but I don't think that's ever going to happen.
- monthly rewards: a hard to complete quest that you have 1 month to complete... (Deal 1000 damage to opponents for example)
- A rotating format that changes every time arena changes with the same sets as arena (also ladder)
- Rewards for both wild and standard ladder (where standard ladder gives only standard cards, and wild ladder gives wild cards)
Christmas list ! Sorta... [edit] thought it was general...
First, FUN in general - I don't want to play against "Worthy Opponent" anymore, and apparently no one gets a restraint order against it. I want to play against "King's Jester", "Headless Rooster", "The Loch-Ness Pigeon", "Gusquatch", "Cityside Beggar", "Queen of Hearths", "Baby Troll", "Drowned Fish", "Haunted Banshee", "Shrieking Giraffe", "Murlocamaniac", "Grassmuncher", "Prof. T-Rex", "Jolly Wolly", "The [first / second / third] Stooge", "Capt. Peter Hook" ... well, I stop here before I digress. Too late?
First (b) - have those in the ladder instead of the current minions, so they also have pics.
Expansion-wise - testing prior to release, even one week could make a difference and the solos to be challenging, and replayable, and alongside release or 1 week later. If you do heroic, finishing it should grant another golden pack, No heroic is easy enough to make it as quick as normal.
Card-wise - it's time for the anti-pally, so ditch pally, pull on a black necromancer, and let undead rise.
Also, here are more wishes because why not.
1. More deck slots. Better UI with deck sorting, arranging and organizing. Sorting by class, name and so forth. The ability to copy or duplicate a deck 'in client'.
2. More minion types. Not only for clarity sake, but also to expand the ability to create new cards and interactions. Why not an 'Undead' minion type? How about Spirit? What about some minions can have 2 types instead? a Pirate/Beast? Why not? You can then create cards that interact with these new minion types. For example, many of the Reborn minions should be 'Undead'.
3. New Tavern Brawls. Tavern Brawls are a great way to experiment with ideas and if they work, they can be transferred to the real HS environment. Tavern Brawls should be experimental and really play with the rules of the game and showcase why a digital format is far superior to a cardboard game. Don't be afraid to try silly things. The Brawls are free (mostly) to play and have zero risk to the players.
Some Tavern Brawl Ideas:
a. Quests are the Best. All Quests in your deck, including side quests are always drawn if you do not have any in hand or in play. If you have multiple quests in your deck, a random one is chosen to start in your opening hand like 'normal' quests. If you do not have an active Quest in play and/or in hand, you will draw a random Quest at the start of your turn, in addition to the normal card or cards you would draw. Example: I completed a side quest last turn and have none in my hand or in play. At the start of my next turn, I draw a random quest in my deck first. Then I draw my normal card for the turn.
b. The Ole Switcheroo. All minions have their health and attack switched. This switch takes place any place the card exists, whether in your deck, on the field or in your hand. Cards that draw a 1 attack minion will no longer draw an Acolyte of Pain. That means playing a Doomsayer will instantly kill it, unless you can buff it's new health somehow.
4. Legendary Mode (new game mode): much like Magic the Gathering has a Commander and acts as your leader or general for your deck, I am thinking the same exact thing for Hearthstone. 1 Leader and 29 Other cards. The Leader must be a Legendary minion. Also, all decks are 'Highlander' by default. You cannot have more than 1 copy of any card in your deck.
You choose a Legendary Minion to be your leader. That leader is always available to play for it's mana cost. Even if the minion is killed, removed or somehow 'poofed' out of existence, that leader will always be available to play. If your Legendary is a class card, your deck building restrictions are the same as any normal deck: That class and neutral cards only. But if your Legendary is a Neutral card, you can build your deck with cards from any and all classes without restrictions.
Lastly, any time your Legendary Leader is removed from the board, it will cost 1 Extra Mana to play it each and every time in a cumulative manner. The first time it is killed, it will cost 1 more to play. The second time it happens in game, it will cost 2 extra to play and so forth. It will never cost more than 10 mana no matter how many times its killed.
One thing: for Whizbang to become a Classic card. Nothing else matters to me.
Then it would be able to offer himself. Not good
Whizbang, he said, not Zephrys..
No more resurrect cards.
And yes, I know res priest isn't a tier 1 deck, but is a BORING one.
Cheaper early access offers please!!! Currency difference is paralyzing...
I second this, been hoping for this for awhile myself, like a Magisters Terrace or Sunwell. We need Kael'thas Sunstrider in this game.
Where are the teaser pictures???? I love guessing the expansions from the Hearthstone symbol and it's surroundings!!
