16.0.3 Update - Bug Fixes and Primalfin Lookout Moved to Tier 5
Blizzard rolled out a serverside patch a short while ago to fix some bugs and also to move Primalfin Lookout from Tavern Tier 4 to Tavern Tier 5. Read the full story below:
Quote from BlizzardHey Folks,
We’re currently in the process of rolling out a small 16.0.3 server-side update (meaning you won’t need to download anything) to address a few issues. Here are the changes:
- Fixed an issue that could cause Sidequests to prevent Questing Explorer from drawing a card.
- Fixed an issue where Storm Egg had Rush.
- Fixed an issue with the Happy Hallow’s End quest that could prevent players from completing it.
- [Tombs of Terror] Fixed an issue that could cause the Battle Scars anomaly to prevent the player from progressing after ending a plague lord encounter with a tie.
- [Tombs of Terror] Fixed an issue with Murky's Battle Horn that could cause both heroes to be destroyed.
- [Arena] Dragonmaw Poacher is no longer draftable.
- [Arena] Lightforged Zealot is no longer draftable.
- [Hearthstone Battlegrounds] Primalfin Lookout has been moved from Tavern Tier 4 to Tavern Tier 5.
Cheers,
Chris_Attalus
Didn't see the Battlegrounds news and just lost a Top 2 because I stayed Tier 4 in order to, ironically, raise my chance at getting Primal- or Toxfin. My fault of course and I absolutely agree with the change. Murloc's access to poisons had to be nerfed somehow.
I am concerned that you don't realize this is strictly arena. The card itself is absolutely fine, but in arena it can lose you the game on turn 4 because you decided to draft Faerie Dragon or Nightmare Amalgam. The card doesn't need to be changed, but removing it from arena pool is a wise decision.
Agreed, it is great to remove it from Arena. 90% of the time, it is a terrible yeti that dilutes your deck. 10% of the time, you just lolwtfpwn your opponent for playing a mediocre minion like the ones you mentioned (or maybe like Twilight Drake) and that is just hugely feel-bad and way too much variance. Same deal with Zealot, which is usually AWFUL except for that one guy in a hundred that actually managed to miraculously draft Paladin Paladin and is suddenly playing a violently overpowered card.
Hello kazakus still buged ?
The Storm Egg Rush bug was on stream.
They hadnt fixed any of the bugs kripp pointed out during the reveal stream
They will come with the balance patch. That one also contains downloadable updates and the Galakrond animations.
Oh man, having to think and plan out your moves instead of dropping whatever's in your hand must be so terrible
The counterpoint is much stronger. Poacher requires no skill, it's a humungous tempo swing at any stage of the game, all by virtue of your opponent just...playing a deck. There's no "plan" to counter it. You either play dragons and you deal with it, or you don't.
gotta cater to your player base
@Dying: If that's what you think, then you don't know how to play the game.
tbh it should be a 2 cost 2/2 that becomes a 4/4 with rush
I mean I can see it becoming a 7/7 or adding an extra mana to it but the whole point is that it can take out big dragons, which are, standard, 8 health.
It's just Flame Lance with the possibility of extra HP.

its over
cool
Taking out Dragonmaw Poacher is a great move and i love how fast they were too address this mistake. The whole point of this expansion is too enjoy playing with dragons not dreading everyone you play due to Poacher risk because that's all you think about every time you play a dragon. Not to mention how punishing and game ending it can be, it's a an overpowered zero skill card i agree it has no place in the Arena.
imagine having to think if u want to drop a dragon and get blown out and instant lose and hesitate every time u play arena that's what poacher does @@ thank god it's gone
Yep exactly. This is so supposed to be Descent of Dragons where you feel powerful playing them and enjoy it, not crapping your pants dreading every time you put one on the board because of Poacher. Every time you play a Twilight Drake, Dragonkin Sorcerer, Evasive Feywing, Hungry Dragon, most of the explorers, basically anything on turn 3 or turn 4 i would just say ''well if he gots the poacher, he just wins the game''... I mean that's just terrible game play and anti-fun.
Well, Dragonslayer was always draftable and I don't think this card is a lot stronger
Just to give a quick counterpoint to this, dragonslayer was good in arena, but it was meh on a 1/1 (or 2/3 like is so common with dragons in this xpac) dragons wheras this is insane when your opponent played their 3 mana 2/3 dragon on early turns, then just being in the 'well i guess i lose' category where dragonslayer would just put you in a light disadvantage with no real face threat
