Quote from DaxxarriThe Monster Hunt has begun!
The Monster Hunt is The Witchwood’s new free, single-player mission content.
You’ll take on the role of one of four veteran monster hunters who are venturing deep into the Witchwood on Hagatha’s trail. Each of these heroes (or anti-heroes as the case may be!) has their own favorite tricks—a special hero power or ability that you’ll need to master if you hope to survive the hunt. Each time you go on a Monster Hunt, you’ll attempt to defeat a series of up to eight monstrous bosses. With each victory, you’ll build a stronger and stronger deck with the items you find—though if you should fall, you’ll have to begin your hunt again with a fresh deck. The trail ahead won’t be easy—the forest is full of fiendish foes! Each hunter also carries a grudge against a particular foe they’ve crossed paths with before—a nemesis, if you will. These are unique bosses that only that hunter can track down to fight.
You’ll want to go on a Monster Hunt with all four heroes because each offers a quest that, if completed, will earn you a The Witchwood card pack! Each quest completed will unlock the next quest in the series, but hunt swiftly—these quests are only available for a limited time*. If you can complete the Monster Hunt with all four hunters, you’ll finally have a chance to face off with the source of the evil in the Witchwood: Hagatha!
If you can defeat Hagatha with the power of all four heroes combined, and free the wood from her vile curse, you’ll earn the gratitude of Gilneas and the Monster Hunter card back!
Tess, Darius, Shaw, and Toki aren’t the only ones with an interest in the Witchwood! Learn more about each of them and the other dreadful denizens of the Witchwood in the Mysterious Missives series:
The Monster Hunt awaits! We’ll see you on the trail!
Yeah, it's a shame since they give those boss an identified class but their boss spells are all neutral.
Yea, just noticed I overlooked that her Hero Power says "Class" spell.
Oops.
Blizzard during witchwood: let’s make an expansion made by pack fillers and an adventure that it is not working our customers will enjoy it a lot. Mmmm no.
First try with darius GG EZ
I am so annoyed by the fact that 10 wins are needed for the quests, I completed the run with Tess first try and I had to restart another one just to concede after 2 encounters. Such nonsense!
The struggle is real.
So....I got to The Whisperer with Tess, which gives all your spells echo. I had the treasure that makes your HP cost (1) and be able to be cast twice. If you cast it without spells played it will give you a small rock, a 0-mana spell that deals 1-damage.
It was a short battle.
You can just hero power turn 2. You get the 0 mana spell as default when no other spells have been cast. It's a guaranteed turn 2 kill. Pretty stupid.
They put an asterisk next to “these quests are limited time only” and then no explanation later on as to how limited?
Only available for the first week or something?
the whole game has gotten buggered. Even non monster hunt games not working.
it wont;s start, just load and load , and error.
I don't know for you but at least for me, I don't understand why Blizzard has this idea of releasing for every expansion an adventure. I mean this is the third row expansion we see with an adventure. In any case I don't understand because I would prefer a lot If Blizzard spared his time of adventures for:
Create better cards during expansions (The level in this expansion is really low)
Do nerf when something is too strong (Half community is crying for these damned nerfs)
These are two things that Blizzard is not doing but we have the adventure. After 10 games these adventures are a hammer in the balls.
Because that's exactly how resources work, right? They work two expansions ahead of when they realease them, they've been doing this work all of last year. It's not like they release something then take a huge vacation between expansions. Making games is fucking hard especially when playtesting is such a small fraction of the intended audience. Chill out and go play any of the thousands of games you can also play for free out there.
They have, multiple times, explained their production cycle. And yes it is two expansions ahead. Also no that is not how resources work because the changes you are talking about are a) made by a different part of the team that made the monster hunt and b) overblown in proportion of importance to the game's enjoyability. Go check out their dev logs, or the development of any card game. Shit is hard. Heck, i'm annoyed that this was buggy for a while but it's not the end of the world, i'm playing the adventure now and having a blast
Man what you are saying is nonsense. Are they working in two teams? Well then join in one because Blizzard is making two things in a bad way.
1) the card released in this expansion suck and they are not making nerfs
2) the adventure is release with 3 weeks of delay and and currently it does not work
So, Blizzard make a big team in order to create a better Hearthstone, and like now, if you are not able, removes this adventures that are an hammer in balls after 10 games.
