Issues With Legend Matchmaking Have Been Resolved
Since the new ranked season, Legend players have been encountering oddities with their matchmaking system. After numerous reports by players across social media, Blizzard acknowledged the issue earlier today and got a fix out eight hours later.
Quote from Jesse HillThe team has been monitoring Ranked Play since coming back online last week. We are currently looking into potential issues surrounding Legend rank. We will update as more information becomes available.
We recently identified an issue where some Legend ranked players were being matched with players of a lower ranking than intended. A hotfix has gone out to remedy this issue. Legend ranked players should now experience intended matchmaking in Ranked Play. Thank you for your patience.
THE PACKS ARE HERE!!!!
I had to play against a legend too at rank 9, but his moves were something I've seen at rank 20, so not sure what happened. D: Or perhaps the legends just think totally out of the box and a casual scrub like me doesn't even begin to understand those plays. Though I did win.
Luckily didn't experience these issues. Glad to see them fixed though. Goodluck on the climb everyone!
For those asking for the Q&A, they said CANCELED, not POSTPONED, which (probably) means, it's CANCELED forever.
Sadly I agree... they said it was canceled and if you had any questions to post them to their blog... should be some sort of expansion announcement soon though.
Not sure why you are downvoted. You're absolutely right.
Excellent. Now, rescheduled Raven Q&A/Reveal?
Good, this was pissing me off. The last thing I needed on my climb to rank 5 was to get matched up against a top 200 legend player four times in a row (two different players twice) just before hitting rank 5 last night. And for the legend players it was just as bad cause winning didn't get them jack and losing hurt like hell.
Well, it's not the case but, I liked the new system of 5 stars for every rank but going back only 3 ranks down when finishing month...
it's 4 ranks and it makes sense since people complained that at the start of each month it was more grind than anything, legend players were going to rank 16(which was easy to get to) which in turn made for some unfair matchups and really long grinds.
very boring 5 stars from 20 to 10, very bad decision
This explains why I got into a match with a Legend player at rank 9 or so.
I got pretty lucky and won that game too. I assume (s)he was pissed off.
Better to fix indeed! Legend players would easily lose much more points in case of a lost game, than what a non-legend player would gain by winning (1-star at most)
Rank 5 + players didnt encounter any problem besides losing or getting a star.
The real problem was for legend players, when they faced a rank 5 guy and won they would climb for about 30-40 ranks but when they were losing they would fall for more over than 100.That was just because a legend player was facing a very lower ranked player.
A player playing at rank 5 would simply either win or lose a star just like normally happens.
I saw a popular HS streamer yesterday starting from rank 1500+ and ending up at rank 2500+ with a crazily possitive win rate just because the losses he got lost him too many points to redeem the wins.
The whole thing just sucked tbh.
But skillwise the difference isnt that big of a rank 5 vs a legend player. Its just that the legend player has more patience/time to grind thats all.
Ok, Good, now where are our free packs ? :D
felt good to beat some legend rank folks being only rank 7 :)
Проблема началась с того что большинство игроков незаслуженно быстро взяли ранг легенды. Матчмейкинг - это дело второе.
linguistic discrimination right here. gj english folks
yes, downvote me too for pointing out the truth
