ALL Wild Hearthstone Sets are Returning
Old card sets are returning for purchase once more! Finally, newer players can play through the awesome Naxxramas and Blackrock Mountain adventures and experience Mechs en masse!
- Sets will be purchasable through the Battle.net website, not the in-game store.
- Likely only real life currency and not gold as the Battle.net website doesn't allow for gold purchases at this time.
- This will be extra awesome with the guaranteed no dupe Legendaries.
The sets that will be returning are:
- Curse of Naxxramas
- Goblins vs Gnomes
- Blackrock Mountain
- The Grand Tournament
- The League of Explorers
This announcement breaks an hour before the Hearthstone Wild Open begins.
Quote from BlizzardIf you yearn to return to the Wild, we have some good news for you!
In the coming weeks, ALL Wild sets—including Expansions and Adventures—will once again become available for purchase* on the Blizzard Shop at https://battle.net/shop/product/game/hearthstone!
The Wild calls to some. Maybe it’s the limitless potential of building a deck with any card at all. Perhaps it’s the allure of truly disgusting combos that were never meant to be. Some have never experienced Kel’thuzad’s legendary snark first-hand, or felt the searing heat of Blackrock Mountain (♪ a Hearthstone Adventure ♫)!
Whatever calls to you, get a taste of it by catching the Hearthstone Wild Open this weekend! Brush up on those survival skills by watching some of Wild’s finest players square off in the first official Wild tournament!
The quarterfinals begin today, July 1 at 10:00 a.m. PDT. Catch the semifinals and finals tomorrow, July 2, also starting at 10:00 a.m. PDT.
Watch the Wild action unfold on the official Hearthstone Twitch channel.
*Products will be available for purchase at regular price.
I play more wild then standard, just because of the wide range of possibilities. It seems like when they introduced standard and wild most of the playerbase was brainwashed into thinking wild is bad and standard is great. Almost all of the HS celebreties play standard so that must be the way forward? For me wild is where it's at, no limits, no excuses, anything goes. Hearthstone at it's prime.
Dusting wild cards will only give you 1/4th of the value you once invested, don't fall for the standard trap, it will only cost you in the end.
Why would gold grinders waste money on old packs? Most of the old packs are good for only a handful of cards.
P2W FTW!
you can craft them so... nope
and how exactly will a new player get all the dust for the 5 wild expansions?
And why will new player play such a desperate mode like wild?
Yes, and standard is such an important mode to those who are below rank 100 legend. The format means jack shit unless you're in those numbers that actually matter.
desperate ? since when u quitted HS ? man the wild is insane right now , me , my friends all of us just got bored of the shitty standard decks .. wild is extremely fun
Err... who cares? Wild? what is that? A noob stable format where decks does not change and is for casual players? Yes, pbbly something like that... and now some interesting news pls?
Eh... if you call decks that can do turn 3 kills "noob stable", then sure?
Maybe you need to L2Wild and then come back here =P
At this moment wild is normal tournament mode. Ant it will be more and more popular soon.
Err it will not :) you know, i played Magic: the Gathering from Mirage edition till Return to Ravnica and you know what? Legacy never become true tournament mode... its a mode that is ok for casual ppl that does not react on actual meta and want their lovely deck working and making only few changes according to newest edition. Not a mode for creative ppl.
No, I call them boring. I played decks that can kill on t2 in M:tG on tours for many years and i found them boring as hell but i wanted to be succesful player so I played them. And I dont find any joy in playing such decks in HS.
Well the last time I checked this isn't mtg and nobody is playing turn 3 kill decks in wild competitively. You can play a wider range of control decks and combo decks imnwild to battle the aggro off because you have more tools. So not boring at all if there are more decks.
more cards = less creativity sure!
enjoy your patches creativity man
The only winning move is not to play. Hence why so many are quitting for Gwent.
Gwent? Rly?:D oh c'mon you are comparing Gwent to HS? Thats like comparing mario to world of warcraft in difficulty and knowledge :D :D
By which logic is stating that hs players leave for gwent a comparison???
Blizzard have no mercy for gold grinders :/ Why everything needs to spin about money...
