Blizzard Investigating Problems Affecting Their Authentication Servers
Blizzard is aware of the issues players are experiencing with failed or slow login attempts on all Blizzard services at the moment, and are working on fixing them as soon as possible. We'll update this post when new info is available. To stay up to date you can also keep an eye on Blizzards CS accounts on Twitter where they'll provide periodic updates.

10% of people had their play time disrupted and/or are disappointed at not being able to play
90% are demanding compensation despite the fact most of them are probably at work/school and had no plans of playing anyway.
