You forget that you won't be playing this without a lot of other elementals in the deck. A shaman deck would be likely to run unbound elementals for more 3s; there's the 1 mana 1/2 that would be used just to activate the effects, or fight for the early board, etc...
It's basically just over a 1/3 chance to win outright against aggro, and it's unlikely to not have the option to play it with the effect in an elemental deck, even on turn 4.
It's more like: This card has synergy with half the cards in your deck, is a functional anti-aggro card and is powerful against control that isn't mage or druid at all stages of the game.
Y'know...I was hoping we'd finally get to play Hunter again.. but how am I gonna be able to go face with all these taunts in the way?
try getting a coldarra drake maiden of the lake somehow. Justicar might help too. Kappa
you made my head hurt a little right there you did.
Maybe Control Hunter will finally become a thing. We've only seen the Hunter legendary so far and that would fit okay with control. Damn shame the Hero Power basicially screams aggro and Finley rotates out.
Won't be bad with all elemental synergies out there..I believe though it's a more arena card than constructed. We have to wait and see full set for conclusion. Not bad card overall.
3 5 taunt devine shield already exists in the game and nobody plays it .
Sure it costs one more mana but it does not require any condition.
It's 3/4
And this thing has one more health...
And that thing is a pretty strong card. Just not competive viable.
Do you know how much 1 mana less and another health is?
Twillight Guardian is a strong card, and has a condition that is similar to this one...
And its an auto include in every dragon deck.
Divine shield is by far better than 1 health, and is usually statted to around 3 stat points.
So if an elemental deck will pop up. This card is gonna be pretty strong.
The only thing going against it is the fact that its not an elemental tribe itself.
if they look the same to you...you are bad, im sorry
it's 5 mana for 3/4 divine shield taunt. so this one has +1 health -1 mana and you are most likely to play an elemental last turn since there are already so many. This one is way better
Some people think before they post. Others post before they think.
More like a Tar Creeper turn 3 meta.
forced archetype
Like every tribal archetype...
supreme bait
Control meta cannot exist while Jades are around
Nice to see Elemental synergy cards that aren't Elemental themselves. Making some of the best Elemental synergy cards non-Elementals means you can't just curve out in a straight line and win with overwhelming advantage. Playing this guy means you probably aren't going to get a hit on whatever nutso 5 drop Elemental thing they're going to print. It's not perfect, but there's at least a little strategy to it.
I really don't like to play only ~15-20 mins games after rotation...
where are the aggro cards ?
Don't be mad.
