Important: Higher Chance of Opening Faction Cards Bug
Blizzard just confirmed that there is currently a higher chance of opening faction cards in Mean Streets of Gadgetzan packs. We suggest not opening your packs until this is resolved.
We will update this post when we have more info.
Quote from PlayHearthstoneWe are currently aware of reports of players having a higher chance of opening tri-class cards in MSOG packs and are looking into it.
Mean Streets of Gadgetzan Pack Simulator
We've updated the Gadgetzan pack simulator to be more true to the real thing. I wonder what you'll get!
Just bad luck. I got 4 legendaries in 10 packs.
I thought cards in packs were detemind when that pack was bought, not opened. So how can 50 packs I bought a weeks ago, all of a sudden change the % drop of certain cards after 2:30pm yestarday????
I have yet to open 90 packs.
It just mean you thought wrong. Packs are determined upon opening.
I opened 113 packs all at the same time and only received 20 packs for compensation.
So here is my rant.. although I find the compensation good many people are at a huge disadvantage. My coworker and I both opened 50 packs on lunch affected by the bug (before we knew about it)..he was luckier than me. I opened 3 legendary (no tri class) cards but a ton of tri class dups (mostly common and rares) while he opened 12 legendary (10 were tri class and 4 of those were GOLDEN). So now he's at a huge advantage over me because not only does he have all the sweet legendary cards but he can now DE all the legendary dups for a ton more dust. I didn't open a Don Han'Cho but he got 3 and 2 are golden..WTF now I have spend 1600 dust to make one while he can DE his two goldens for 3200 dust? And on top of it he get the same 33% pack compensation that I do? They should've rolled back all the packs open and make everyone start over again..that would have been the only fair thing to do. Blah
You and your coworker had equal odds of getting good cards. That is completely fair. Equal opportunity does not mean equal outcome.
336 counting the quest ones
I think he got 299 total
I bought 50 packs, and had enough gold for 43 packs more, so 93 total. I got a huge amount of the tri-class commons and rares, so much so that, after opening 93 packs, I was still missing a lot of rares. For example, I don't even have a single copy Drakonid Operative, which is a card I'd like. Obviously, getting an excessive amount of each tri-class rare card accounted for so many rares in the 93 packs that I didn't get many of the rares that I would have otherwise gotten, since they got squeezed out by so many duplicates.
I opened my packs shortly after the expansion went live, and I had no idea about the 'bug', so I chalked it up to my bad luck and dusted the excessive tri-class commons and rares. This is where the problem lies, though. Though I got a little dust from those cards, the dust I got will only pay for a tiny fraction of the rares that I didn't get because things were so skewed. So, even if I just want a full set of rares, I'm looking at having to buy packs just for that purpose, or spend a bunch of dust. And that's just to get the cards I should have gotten. Not to mention that this is dust I expected to be using for rarer cards.
As for epics and legendaries, I got 4 legendaries, and over a dozen epics, so that was average. Only one of my legendaries was a tri-class card, Don Han'Cho. I didn't get Aya or Kazakas. So, basically, I didn't benefit from the bug in regard to legendaries, and was hurt by it in regard to rares. Getting screwed on the rares would have been easier to take if I actually got Aya and/or Kazakas because of the bug. Meaning there was absolutely no upside for me.
Fact is, I actually had other things to do, and put those things off so I could open my packs right away. If I had been less of a nerd and done the real-life stuff instead, I would have found out about the bug before I opened packs.
Pretty much my thoughts exactly. People don't understand that 33% does not even come close to making up for all the cards we will have to craft that we shouldn't have had to.
Thank you Blizzard! This is fair compensation. RIP EU players.
It appears the bug has been fixed now, so that's very nice! They are also going to offer compensations.
Sure. For example I've managed to get my Overwatch card back few month after launch on PS4.
US will get 33% more (free) packs for that bug. Also hotfix is already in place. Just as I said - EU got fucked again.

I did not expect Blizzard to be this generous. At the same time, I'm from EU, so we got c*cked again. The disadvantages weren't THAT bad.
You guys are idiots. I'm still extremely pissed and would much rather be EU. My packs were SO awful, that 33% back isn't even going to come close to having me break even.
No, that is about right. It would take around that many extra packs to make up for all of the duplicates US players got. We are breaking even, not gaining some unfair advantage.
