Important: Higher Chance of Opening Faction Cards Bug
Blizzard just confirmed that there is currently a higher chance of opening faction cards in Mean Streets of Gadgetzan packs. We suggest not opening your packs until this is resolved.
We will update this post when we have more info.
Quote from PlayHearthstoneWe are currently aware of reports of players having a higher chance of opening tri-class cards in MSOG packs and are looking into it.
Mean Streets of Gadgetzan Pack Simulator
We've updated the Gadgetzan pack simulator to be more true to the real thing. I wonder what you'll get!
So fucked up....
I contacted support and they said to not buy anymore packs since the bug is still active.
I asked about compensation and they said the devs are still figuring out what to do.
they should give us 1 pack for each 5 packs we buy since today
no they need to just either a) reset the server memory from today to before the expansion was released so everyone has their $ or packs still before we opened them
or b) give us however many packs we opened back
People who opened legendaries will oppose your reset plan.
I called customer support too, but after ringing for a minute, it was only a voicemail.
It sounded like Ben Brode and he said: HA HA HA HA HA!
Well, the theme of this expansion is robbery...
Maybe this is why out of 50 packs, I opened 1 leg on the 25th? lol hopefully, because that's some luck right there >.>
So serious question. There's only 9 tri-class cards with three of them being legendary. Is the occurrence bug so high that the non-random losses are offset by the dust gained from legendaries? Has anyone tried doing the math in the last four hours or run a simulation? I want to open my packs when I get home from work, and if it's just a matter of creating cards with a bonus surplus of dust rather than opening them randomly, I'm ok with that.
Of the 5 legendary minions I unpacked in 73 total card packs, 4 were tri-class legendaries. I got two Kazakus and two Aya Blackpaws. I technically got one less legendary than I think I should have, but there is no doubt that this problem is also affecting legendary pulls. If I were you, I'd probably wait until after the problem's resolved before unpacking.
I also feel like I got kinda cheated out of obtaining more neutral or class cards out of those packs. I pulled 1-2 tri-class cards each pack. That's I HUGE chunk of cards. I would've rather pulled more of the neutral commons and rares than disenchant the tri-class ones for half the cost of what I would've pulled.
This is a pretty expensive flop on Blizzard's behalf at our expense
You don't get more legendarys. The only difference is your legendarys are from the tri-color fractions.
5 Legendaries in 73 packs is way above normal if that average holds. Getting 1-2 every 40 packs is normal. I hear you on the rare and common cards, but I'd like someone to run the math on the legendary dust bonus. It sounds like it probably doesn't work out well in the end.
No what's funny is we know we won't, because if they did anything to compensate us, EU would freak thefuck out and act like babies until they also got free packs for a problem they haven't even encountered.
yeah, sure... Look at Volkswagen... ;)
well done blizzard!
now this is actually good luck considering the dust you get, all i got in 39+6 packs was a regular Aya.
They're not his at least not both, saw em earlier at twitter.
