Not sure if anyone mentioned this this card is a serious buff for all inspire cards especially Confessor PaletressKodoriderNexus-Champion Saraad these cards mechanics are free to play. Even Spawn of Shadows with Justicar Trueheart
but all these cards are being pushed out of standard in a few months. :(
I get the love. I was an old school Shaman player cackling with glee as that class got more and more powerful over the last year. Priest players have to love what they see in this expansion and this card will be the best 5 drop in the game.
But Blizzard is making a huge mistake making priest a dominate class. The class is designed to piss people off (copying or stealing your cards.) and even the current BrokeBack Malydruid/Shamanstone meta somehow doesn't trigger me like Entomb does. A tier 1 "screw you, that's mine" priest deck will ruin this game.
Uh, no. You really think this is the card that will put Priest over the top? Don't let the newness of a card blind you, there is no way Priest will be dominating this game if they are required to play a highlander deck.
Raza the Chained is no doubt, a good card. But it won't sniff the dominance that Shamans have on ladder now.
You cackle with glee about this cancer Shaman meta? Then you have no right expressing an opinion about whether or not a class is getting "overbuffed."
I have the same fealing about the meta right now, and even about priest as well. I hate playing against priest even if it's a weak class and i usually beat them, but it feels terrible to get every second minion pained, deathed, and entombed. At the top of that they play :/Lord Jaraxxus from thoughtsteel.
I really hope priest won't be made into a tier 1 class, because that would just make me quit the game.
I wish you all good RNG, and best Top Decks. ;D
Your putting some form of weird emotional attachment to priest and if seeing certain class then become strong triggers you, than this game needs a higher maturity rating.
No, I don't enjoy the current BrokeBack Shaman. What I was saying that as a fan of a class that was utter shite at the time, I understand the joyous feeling of your class getting better. I love Shaman, love control Shaman and played the class to gold hero when it sucked. It felt great to see my favorite class become relevant. But then Blizz over buffed it, and then over buffed it again with a card like Spirit Claws that sucks out your will to live.
Good point about the highlander deck, as that will innately limit the "that's mine" aspect of priest. I still think this card will be one of the best 5 drops in the game. Mana is the currency of Hearthstone and is designed for usage of your hero power to spend some of that currency. Any hero power being free is very, very powerful.
And I stick with what I say - Blizzard has to walk a tight rope with this class because of how annoying it's core mechanic is for the other player. If they go "full shaman" and continue to buff Priest to T2 or T1, there will be much weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Hmm if you have the upgraded shadowform, Auctionmaster Beardo and emperor proc, then holy smite + mind blast + holy fire + any 2 spells kills from 30
Sounds good, but the only problem is the card draw to make the combo consistent
Good thing we have Purify
This + auction master beardo is so goood ... think about the combo you can do
IF i discover coldarra drake and i have another heropower / embrace the shadow .. i have infinite damage :)
Not really infinite because of turn time and animation time limit ;p
Is Raza the Chained a continuous effect? As in if you play Raza turn 5 and Justicar Trueheart turn 6 (or any card that changes your hero power), will the effect of the hero power costing 0 remain?
This is what I'm most curious about as well. The text really doesn't give any hints one way or the other.
The text is "your hero power cost (0) this game" which makes it seem like it would carry over to new hero powers because it is phrased as if it is an active discount effect. It still isn't clear if this is the case, but it is a pretty big deal if it is or not.
It clearly says though out the game.
who knows
Agreed. The text doesn't say anything like, "current hero power," or "any hero power use throughout the game." Like you say, it seems like it should carry over, and if it does or not is a pretty big deal. (especially for shadow priest)
