Heroic Tavern Brawl Potentially Delayed Until After BlizzCon
Early last week, Ben Brode stated on Twitter that the Heroic Tavern Brawl would be coming out before BlizzCon. Tonight, thanks to an update from Ben himself, it seems that those plans have changed.
Quote from Ben BrodeIt was stated by @bdbrode that we'd see Heroic Brawl before BlizzCon. That means next week ;)
I'm not sure that's the case after all. #soon
A lottery is a game of pure chance with no opportunity for player input to affect the outcome, and Hearthstone is a game that has many opportunities where player input affects the outcome, so comparing the two (ie, creating an analogy) is a very poor choice if you want to criticize the Heroic Brawl format.
You can be butt-hurt that you don't have a chance of winning anything, but at least be honest about why you're butt-hurt.
Heroic brawl should be a sealed format that way it would really be a better arena/constructed mix. To bad that would actually require skill and no netdecks so it'll probably never happen.
What do you guys think? Would you play it if it was sealed?
Maybe Heroic Brawl is a lead in to something they have planned down the road. If that actually became Sealed, I think that'd be really cool.
Oh no the mode I'm not going to play because it's a ripoff won't be ready next week?!
Maybe they will change this and turn it into an actual tournament mode???
I would pay 1000 gold any day to do a real tournament mode where 12 players start, you need to choose 3 decks, and rewards get better the higher you make it. Plus there is way less luck involved and way more strategy when you have to win with 3 decks instead of one RNG based game.
Which just seems silly. I spose 240 million dollars a year isn't enough to staff a office with enough decent designers / developers.
If they had been inventing paging button to add 9 deck slots for 2 years, the tournament mode will take the eternity.
personaly i think they have no idea how to code the 3 deck thingie since it would require you to connect to oponent before connecting to the game in some seperate lobby. once again a early bad decision comes back to haunt them later (like reconenct to replay from sc2 made a mess in reconnect to heroes of the storm)
It's just constructed with arena win format and incredibly lucrative prizes at the high end of win rates, but costs you 1000G/ $10. If you want to play constructed, go play constructed? If you want to play arena, go play arena? Gonna suck for those people who sunk in that investment to go 4-3 because they lost like 4 RNG battles in their overall run.
Ben Brodes... YOU ARE NOT PREPARED!
They are probably not content with the current meta, that's maybe why they are postponing it. They are aware of how dominant Shaman is right now and I think they know how it would ruin the competitive feeling of this brawl. They will probably save it to around next expansion and even though it is mostly for streamer entertainment (in my opinion), it's still for the best.
except the streamers don't even want to play it, I have seen multiple say they would play it once. (maybe twice)
id rather like to think they were postponing it until shaman nerfs come in but that's wishful thinking, its probably going ahead in a few weeks as normal
And nothing was lost...
Honestly. Why the f*ck did they think this was even a good idea to begin with?
If they are actually going to bring the Heroic Tavern Brawl, Please just make the regular brawl available alongside it. Then I wouldnt be so disappointed and mad ;/
free pack or uninstall.
