I like that they are really pushing a board centric beast hunter this expansion more than they normally do, I think it has the potential of being really lethal.
That location is potencially nasty no ? Up to like 21 dmg to face ?
18 since it takes up a board space, but still yes it's a lot for a hunter if they have sufficient token generation.
It deals one demage by itself, then repeats, so it goes up to 21.
the hunter callback is printing cards that look like they should fit in a tradey midrange deck but actually fit in a hyperaggro face deck.
I feel like we're only seeing payoffs and haven't seen the enablers so far. Remote control is kind of an enabler, but everything else including R.C. Rampage expects you to already have your swarm in play. And from past expansions we really only have Sneaky Snakes. Saddle Up! is another payoff, not an enabler. I'm not sure where all our small beasts are supposed to come from.
Reworked Spiders from the core set as enabler and the new legendary as payoff.
Canvasaur is very, very strong. Easily 5 stars
Jungle Gym is actually ok despite it being random. I can easily see this being triggered with 4-5 damage. 4 stars
Remote Control is a 1/1 beast token on a stick spread out between 3 turns. Pretty decent if you can play it immediately on turn 2, no rush tho on the token. 3.5/5 stars. Even though this will be a staple card in the new beast deck.
I may play Hunter again after years of nothing. Not overpowered so far but at least it seems fun.
