So... two separate 1-mana Mage cards (Mirror Image and Arcane Bolt) get put into a single 1-mana Shaman card?
... I swear, the devs of Hearthstone are single-handedly keeping the Colombian cocaine trade alive.
Baking Soda Volcano has an exaggerated power for what it offers, surpassing Don't Stand in the Fire! It also makes a reference to Volcano
Wish Upon a Star I don't think it's playable, it's currently very slow and worse for shaman
Pop-Up Book is another excellent 10/10 card, like Baking Soda Volcano, perhaps not as speculative as it sounds but very effective
I don't know why they keep raising the power ceiling this much. It hurts Arena the most. Skill is just becoming less of a factor with every expansion. I just don't get it. Even this pop-up volcano will be broken in the arena. Don't Stand in the Fire! was already premium. The fact that it's double-sided is almost always completely irrelevant; you either don't have any board or you trade down to get everything in range. But anyway, the 4 mana is just dumb. It could easily be 5 mana as well. That lifesteal will just shit on aggro decks.
Not sure about this big Shaman spell thing, to me it feels a +2/+3 buff that would suck if you draw it feels weird if I want to buff my minions I would proabably rather just run Shudderblock and Lor'themar Theron if his in Standard havent seen if his staying or not that way I get a super impactful buff on all my minions.
Baking Soda Volcano however might be one of the strongest cards so far this expansion, amazing board control card that will clear a majority of boards at the 4/5th turn and heal up the Shaman. I'm comparing it to Bellowing Flames that is a pretty darn good card and I feel like this is just plain better than that in 9/10 scenarios and doesnt require a forge first.
Pop-Up Book is a really good card 1 mana 2 damage spells have seen plenty of play in Hearthstone history and this comes with two minions aswell.
With this new 1 mana shaman spell Wandmaker is going to be a staple card in every shaman deck (totem shaman won't be a thing anymore with the new standard rotation so don't even mention it)
Holy god is baking soda strong. It’s probably the best board clear for control ever printed. “4” mana clear the enemy board heal 10 is about as pushed a card as we’ve seen.
I kinda agree this will be amazing versus aggro, we already have Bellowing Flame that is really strong at early game clearing but it comes with alot more restrictions and doesnt have life steal of course it can't hit its own minions but when playing control vs aggro you rarely have a board anyway its more about keeping their board as empty as possible and for that I think this is way better than Bellowing Flame that is an pretty awesome card itself.
While the game developers obviously can't see this, wish upon a star from hagatha and amplified by shudder will make this deck broken.
Baking Soda and Popup Book
pop up book is ez 5 star
These could all wind up being very good. Shaman looks like it might be the strongest class next expansion.
God damn, Shaman is getting some serious love this set!
I'm thinking if Wish being an Arcane spell means anything. I don't think so. I'm pretty sure that means more for Mage than for Shaman.
But between Hagatha the Fable and Shudderblock you can give all your minions +12/+18, and by experience against Druid, I know that give all your minions +4/+4 is already pretty game winning. So maybe you can do something with that. It sounds a little too slow for modern HS tho, but the other 2 spells helps you to survive until that pop up turn.
How is the 7 cost spell not a Druid card? I would say it should at least be dual Druid/Shaman, but it really has nothing to do with Shamans thematically.
tbf Shaman was first to do this with Mistcaller
I was talking more to the fact that it's an arcane spell relating to star stuff. Shamans have never had an arcane spell they didn't share with mage.
4 mana deal 10 and heal your hero by 10?
Huh?
The 1 mana spell is pretty discruptive, but nothing special.
The 7 mana spell looks ok on paper, so might make it into low tier Hag deck.
really pushing for battlecry combo control for shaman
Eh, I don't like Pop-up Book and Baking Soda Volcano being acceptable power level cards, but I guess that's just modern Hearthstone.
They have really lost the plot.
