Cool card but hate how they are keeping adding Rune requirement in all the nice DK cards. Limiting deckbuilding with no reason at all.
Yeah I hate that rune thing too, Triple blood literally didn't changed in a loooonggg time
And a control card can't be in there, fun
Surprisingly weak. Asphyxiate for 6 mana is already slow, but then you have to wait for the head to actually have worth heropower which is (surprise) also very slow. I doubt it will see much competitive play.
You think a card that gives you unlimited 3 damage for 2 mana is weak?
Remember Rokara, the Valorous? She gave you more armor, had a better battlecry and even healed you with her heropower (which did almost the same damage) and almost saw no play in standard.
She also had no rune requirment which makes this card even worse imo
Rokara is an insane card, Warrior was just way too bad, but if Warrior was good, Rokara would have been the first card to nerf.
All they do is limit design space and they're used as an excuse to print broken cards like Frostwyrm's Fury. Expansions are also limited because they have to print cards for one rune archetype - it's like they're trying to play 3 classes in one. The only cards in the past 3 expansions which have had more than 1 of the same rune are two plague cards and two random garbage cards (Cage Head + Death Metal Knight) which could easily be 1 rune each.
The fact that they haven't printed more 3 rune cards for a year now and even buffed soulstealer to 2 blood runes speaks volumes.
Oh BOY, my rainbow DK just got a little bit stronger
Love the idea behind this card however I kinda wish that they would have cut the rune cost and instead make it have several hero powers and battlecrys attached to it that change depending on your runes. Feels like a missed opportunity to have your runes have actual synergy with a Legendary and make it more flexible instead of a static rune cost.
Can blizz just come out and say that runes were a bad idea and be done with it? It's clear that they only want to push rainbow since they're giving very little support for anything else.
They still clearly fill their purpose
I really enjoy runes, personally. Deckbuilding restrictions like that are fun to work with
They're not fulfilling their purpose cause the triple rune decks are unplayable since the majority of support is rotating and they keep printing more and more rainbow.
Omg yessss. I've always loved this character!!! I love how his head appears in the hero portrait when you draw it. Nice touch. As a DK player I would enjoy board generation or board clear as part of his play not just highest attack. But I can dig it.
I'm going to hold back my grumpiness and not comment in the wacky text and extralines just to make a silly rhyme.
But slightly annoys me that the Upgraded Skin doesn't gets the new pumpkin.
First couple cards revealed look to be useful in a slow meta. But, will we have a slow meta?
There is never such thing as a slow meta.
A slow meta is when Control Priest can be at least a Tier-2 deck and win against most Aggro decks… but Control Priest is usually very weak at the beginning of rotation due to the lack of AoE and removal tools.
if only there was some sort of seeker that draws cards that didnt start in the deck
There is. 3 mana 3/3 that does exactly that. Don't remember the name
