Oh yeah, Reno Shaman and Even Shaman are so unplayable in Wild...

The fact it was in beta for years and years was writing on the wall this was a dying mode.

As I have so much tickets I spent some last month on both, arena and duels just to make a random deck and to loose 3 games immediately to get one pack. 

It seemed to me that the rewards for duels where a little bit better than for arena. For duelsrun I got a little bit of gold while in arenarun I always got dust. It’s maybe a coincidence as I played just 2 or 3 games per mode, but still not ok imo. 

I personally won‘t miss this mode and as my favorite streamer Roffle is forced to play the other modes which means I will watch his streams again, I can‘t complain about that. But there are a lot of people who like to play this mode. It‘s not fair to let mercenaries online and shut down duels completely.

Cannot imagine they would do that though, as the competitive scene is no small part of the game's audience. Maybe they will cut it down some more, but completely ending it seems unwise to me.

Seems unlikely but definitely not impossible to me. This year the World championship had just some thousands of people streaming with the casters sitting in front of a greenscreen and the players sitting in their bedroom. Not much left to cut.

And why can't they just disable 150 gold runs? They could have left free duels as it is.

Maybe this will give them the time and manpower to work on more solo adventures (it won't (i am coping so hard))

Why would anyone want new adventure content after experiencing the current team's most recent efforts?

 I mean, that shouldn't be true, in order to earn enough gold to go infinite you have to knock other players out. the net profit for blizzard should always be positive.

I guess I am done playing Hearthstone. The one, two, three of killing Solo Adventures, Mercenaries, and now Duels has killed all interest I have in the game. I don't think the big wigs at Blizzard understand that nice things like Mercenaries, Duels, and Solo Content, while they don't directly make much money, they bring people to the game, who then create opponents for the whales, and even buy things for the other modes since they are there. 

I have played hearthstone almost constantly since launch, this expansion was already the first one where I'd just been zoning out, not really playing at all, instead playing some Warpforged. but I kinda assumed I'd be coming back, especially with the 10th anniversary upcoming, but with this distasteful attitude I guess this might just be the end for me, I'm sorry Brode, I tried to stay, but your family hurts me too much. 

Make a protest for Blizzard, Duels is very good and playable, for me mercenaries are a failure
