Sounds like you were pretty UNlucky... a lot of these AI decks have around 20-30 cards in them, and when you're adding 2 bombs every turn, you quickly reach the point where you expect to be getting hits every 2 or 3 turns, especially if you pick packs with eleks, wrenches etc. In one of my rounds I got over 30 bombs into my opponent's deck, and she was alextrasa, so she took 30 damage at the start of her turn and died instantly.
Yeah, it's pretty RNG, but on balance it's going to swing well over half your rounds.
