Xzirez posted a message on Stranglethorn Druid (Top 50+Legend 2x EU+Asia)Posted in: Stranglethorn Druid (Top 50+Legend 2x EU+Asia)Yes its made off kolentos/strifecros druid which is the standard combo build atm. Bgh in a meta were people play giants and Ragnaros atm i dont see any rags or giants on ladder but when i do i switch 1 argent for him most of the time. Putting in bgh means the meta is slower so switching blood mage for azure would also be good. The changes for slow meta = -blood mage + azure - Argent + Bgh. For fast meta = -Argent + Healing touch -cenarius + sunfury If meta is super fast.

Siky posted a message on [Legend S3] Siky's Ramp DruidPosted in: [Legend S3] Siky's Ramp DruidNosferatini Congratulations on your first time legend!
TheChiv I structured the deck as such to beat what I was seeing on the ladder at the moment and used it to hit legend. The power of double combo is the same to me as double Doomguard in Zoo. Powerful if you get it, but you don't get it every game. I played the deck a lot and it just felt too random for me and I personally didn't like it.
BlackGoat The difference between having 2x of something isn't that huge honestly, just some matches you want more taunts or taunt bait while other match-ups the taunts don't matter too much. Which heavy control deck does it have trouble against? Other than sometimes just having bad draws vs someone that has good draws in some matches, it goes by the same rule as any other decks. Really heavy decks if they get good draws and the opponent is too slow will have the clear advantage, but being too heavy means there's a good chance you'll just die too fast and super heavy decks get wrecked by super aggro anyways.
Real talk, every deck can perform badly for long strings of games, it happens sometimes, you can lose 10 games in a row as Miracle Rogue, but does that make Miracle Rogue any less good than it is, it's a card game and this stuff happens.

GiordyBear posted a message on [LEGEND] Ek0p Savage Roar Druid - Cenarius VariantPosted in: [LEGEND] Ek0p Savage Roar Druid - Cenarius VariantZoo is always hard to counter, but if you want you can try replacing Cenarius with a Starfall. Remember that the best play against zoo is that of playing more minions than they do. Always keep a firm board control and kill key targets. I personally never had problems against aggro decks, as opposed to control decks.

Siky posted a message on [Legend S3] Siky's Ramp DruidPosted in: [Legend S3] Siky's Ramp DruidTo be honest, the point of Cairne is to annoy the opponent and stall them. It's just a value card overall and replacing it leaves a hole. A lesser sub would be another legendary (Sylvanas), but if all else fails I would probably just include another Argent Commander. I can't guarantee anything if you sub though, I like the deck how it is and 1 change matters at higher levels. -

TazdingoHS posted a message on [LEGEND] Ek0p Savage Roar Druid - Cenarius VariantPosted in: [LEGEND] Ek0p Savage Roar Druid - Cenarius VariantMaybe you're accustomed to playing Murlocs, Druids are entirely different and takes time and patience to develop your board, with that being said, druids are fairly strong in the lower ranks, so perhaps you should just make better decisions with your cards.

Siky posted a message on [Legend S3] Siky's Ramp DruidPosted in: [Legend S3] Siky's Ramp DruidThanks, I was planning for more in-depth stuff, but I didn't have time and I more or less assumed most people knew what Ramp Druids were all about anyways. I covered the Zoo match-up because it's probably the hardest for most people, everything else the deck is basically built to cover and usually only loses to pretty much perfect answers or you might get bad RNG and get stuff all 1 turn late which happens with any deck once in awhile.
Just to explain as well, yes, normally you don't see FON+Roar in ramp decks, but newer ramp decks do run it, I just didn't like the consistency of the YOLO 2x FON+Roar decks as I felt like sometimes you won really hard or sometimes you just sat there against a bunch of taunts with those 4 cards on turn 6. FON+Roar is still incredible for reach and is needed against stuff like Handlock and Miracle Rogue, it's welcomed to finish stuff quickly against the mirror which feels really easy with this deck for people running any of the newer aggro midranged stuff. FON itself is quite good in the Zoo match-up as well since you really just need to clear stuff and having 3 2/2 chargers works out well when they think they're safe against Swipe since you don't need it to win in that match-up anyways.
The nicer part is that you don't just auto-lose when you don't have this combo anymore which is what annoyed me about old druid decks and why I favored Ramp decks since they never relied on them anyways. It's a compromise and while you might get extremely unlucky and lose against super big ramp decks, most of the time you'll have better board control early and end things before they can make use of their clunkier hands and the faster cheaper decks can't handle awkward taunts like Sen'jin and Sunwalker well.
Good luck to everyone trying to hit legend still before it ends in a couple days!

This is pretty much what I think about this card..

These old-school ramp decks are a bit slow for current meta I think. A deck like this one is between old-school ramp, and midrange decks like Kolento's one.
I aggree, some mulligan/gameplay indications would help me to progress with this deck :)
Thanks in advance

Thanks a lot for the deck! I'm loving it. Went 8-3 and reached rank 4 (first time I can break through the rank 5 wall)

Claw is good, but this is a token druid deck, and argent squire has a huge value in this kind of deck:
- It helps for board control early game
- It is buffed by Power of the wild / cenarius / savaged roar
- It can help to use Wrath in "1dmg + draw" mode instead of 3dmg, and still survive
- It is very resilient thanks to divine shield.
And most important, using this deck if you have something to play on turn 1, 2, 3, you've almost won. And argend squire is the perfect turn 1 play :)

This deck is great! I just won against a zoo, a freeze mage, a miracle rogue and a handlock in a row. It was so easy.. (rank 5 atm)
Thank you :)

Very good deck, but get crushed by zoo if no argus... only 1 slam, no cleave... what should I change to be better against them?
(EDIT: replaced gnomish inventor by a second argus, or harrisson by a second slam... that helps)

Hey, thanks for this deck! I will give it a try :)
Could you just explain why you think it's better than Kolento's one (http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/63513-kolento-top-5-current-meta-decks-shaman)?
The differences are: -1 lightning storm, -1 argus, + 1 unbound, +1 doomhammer
Also, if you can add some mulligan/matchup guides, that would be awesome (at least a general idea...) Thanks
