posted a message on Which deck counters N'Zoth paladin?

It sounds ridiculous, but I've had some success with control warrior with coldlights. They have a lot of draw, so if you can keep up the board control you can mill them pretty hard. Trump played a deck which is very similar to mine and posted it on his channel a few days ago. I'd definitely recommend playing that deck, or just giving it a spin. Very good fun.

I've had a bit of success with Super Aggro face shaman, but you need to pray that they can't get off a good forbidden healing, or things become difficult. It may just be that I'm playing the deck badly though.

posted a message on 2 same legend in 1 pack. how rare is it

    1/20 x 1/20 (Legendary Chance x 1/Number of legendaries in set) = 1/400

Chance of getting two of the same legendaries in the same pack is therefore (1/400)^2 = 1/160000

So every 160000 packs, that will happen.

This maths is probably not exact. People who are better at math than me will tell you that my methodology isn't accurate, but it gives an idea of the ballpark.

posted a message on Acolyte of Pain - is it fine? nerf?

I don't think it needs a nerf. Just as people can abuse it with ping, people can quite easily mill the opponent for not using the acolyte carefully enough. I was up against a priest as zoolock, and I he decided the acolyte was a fine target for velens chosen then double divine spirit. I got him to fatigue on turn 9 with implosions and jugglers. It's a card which you really need to set up in order for it to be of decent value, and doesn't single handedly win games from nowhere like the FoN SR combo did. But those are just my two cents

I can definitely see aggro rising again. Face hunter will go back to it's classic days and start shredding everything again. At least it's not pre-undertaker nerf hunter powerful. For the first season, I predict that you will either be queueing very long games, or very quick face games.

posted a message on How good do you think you are at deckbuilding?

I'd say average. I've made multiple decks which have easily taken me up to rank 10, but I doubt any of them would carry me to legend. (apart from my zoo deck which I made before I found out about this website which looks similar to zoo decks here)

    I really want
    More varieties of quests
I wish they were more creative with their quests. 2 wins with that, 5 wins with that blah blah blah.
"Defeat your opponent within 7 turns"
    "Play 20 battlecries"
    "Play 10 taunts"
"Defeat a member of the Alliance"
"Overkill an enemy by 5 damage"

These types of quests encourage players to play a variety of decks, not spam the same competitive netdecks over and over to get wins. This improves the diversity of decks and people who usually play aggro will be encourage to try somethign different, and vice versa

     I second this wholeheartedly.

If people could give me some advice on getting through the rank 10 area I'd be really grateful!

You play combo druid and zoolock. A lot of players climbed to legend with these decks. So, these decks are definetely capable to climb higher, than rank 10. Just be patient, stick with 1-2 decks and learn your deck more and you will climb higher. Don't switch decks just because you can't pass rank 10. It's not the deck problem, it's some problems with your plays or you just didn't play enough amount of games to pass it.

I'm sorry, if that's sounds offensive, but reaching rank 5 is really easy with any metadeck, including combo druid and zoolock, if you play decent. So, to get through rank 10 you just have to be patient :)

I remember, that in my first season, when I played strong metadeck (Midrange Hunter), I couldn't climb higher, than rank 9. That was ridiculous, I just played and played at rank 9-10 and couldn't climb higher. I read some articles, watched some useful streams and realize some of my mistakes. In the next month I just climbed to rank 5 pretty easily :)

tldr: be patient, don't switch decks, learn 1, max 2 decks, which you enjoy playing, well!
It's not offensive at all! It's good advice, and reassuring:)
It may just be this season, as many people want to get to legend before standard kicks in, so I've noticed the ladder being a lot harder than usual. A few seasons ago I breezed to rank 9 by accident, while this season I'm having no where as much luck. I'm using similar decks now, with the addition of Combo druid when zoo was very unfavourable due to the micro-meta of rank 13. I've always been a fan of demon zoo, so I guess I'l just stick with it for now.
I've watched a lot of trump, and I highly recommend new and old players watching him every now and again just for reminders, as I find him to be one of the best streamers for educational entertainment. I know that (at least with combo druid. My zoo deck is homebrew, and I made it before I started "netdecking") skill is an issue for me. I've definitely played more zoo matches than combo druid, so my experience lies there. It just so happens that the meta where I am now is VERY anti-zoo and anti-combo druid. Normally with zoo I get 60%+ winrates, but I've had boarderline 50% winrates around rank 10. In rank 9, zoo was far better, but then I stupidly decided to give combo druid a go, and fell back down to rank 11, where zoo doesn't work again XD

I'm glad to see someone else has issues with rank 16. Every single month that rank gives me issues and I cannot for the life of me figure out why. It takes like 10 minutes to get through the plebs in rank 17 and 15, but 16....yeesh. It's an hour ordeal each time I do it.

My cousin and I are both currently trying to rank up at the moment. He has far more experience than me, and a bigger collection, yet he is currently stuck around rank 13. I have had a huge tilt today. I went up to rank 9 5 stars, then back down to rank 11 3 stars. I know it's not huge by most standards, but it's by far the biggest I've had. There seem to be bands which are far harder to grapple through than other areas. Do any of you more advanced people know if there are any other "walls" along the road. I've heard of a rank 7 wall where skill really becomes a factor, but whether or not I'll make it there, only time will tell!
Thanks all for the advice once again. It seems that being more analytical of my plays in advance will help me. My cousin and I took turns spectating each other, each discussing what we'd do before we took our move, and it's really helpful for any of you out there to have someone spectating just to talk to, as it means that you have to think through your moves and explain them. There were a few times where the player spectating had a far better move than the other one, or something which looked minute, but made a big difference. One of the best examples was the opponent played an Aldor Peacekeeper on my loatheb, and my cousin suggested using my keeper of the grove on the Aldor, but after talking a little, we settled on silencing the loatheb, as that would leave us with a 5/2 rather than a 1/2.
Mana efficiency is probably what I have to work on the most. Making sure I think of forthcoming  turns as well with mana efficiency,so I don't have turns where I have to hero power then pass.
Does anyone have a good combo druid deck list? I've been looking, and haven't yet found one which really suits me. Most of them either have one combo, which I don't like much as sometimes you need to use a combo to clear the board, but that's normally rare, or run two of one card, such as Azure Drakes, whereas I prefer only running one, and a sludge belcher as I'm facing a lot of aggro at the moment

Are there any things in combo druid which are generally good innervates? I find I normally use innervate on T2 for a shredder, or for a wombo combo with FoN and Savage Roar

Thanks for the advice all! It's greatly appreciated

Edit: I also use innervate on T1 with shade. Is this a good use?

I don't have Rag either! XD

I'm still pretty new to the ladder on this game. I've been playing on and off for a while, but I've only started ranking up from 20 two days ago. I went from 20 - 15 in one day, then 15 - 10 in one day, and here is where that pattern has ended. I only really have the cards for warlock decks (any. I have jaraxxus mal'ganis and wilfred, and the full zoo deck except for leeroy which isn't mandatory), and combo druid. I'm lacking a lot on the legendary front, but other than that I have a fairly decent collection.

As far as warlock decks and druid decks go, do you have any advice for playing those? It may well be that I am misplaying fairly majorly with the decks. Also are there any decklists which you would recommend? I've tried a fairly controlish zoolock and an aggro zoolock, but kept that average 50% winrate. With combo druid, recently I've only had a 45% winrate, which has dropped me back down to rank 10. There are some easy matchups, such as face shaman hunter, and priest for combo druid, but everything else seems to be difficult. For zoolock, it depends on how well the opponent can respond to your start. If they can contain you when playing the aggro start, you lose, but when playing the more control version, I lose consistently to aggro. I almost always lose to paladin unless they have a really bad opening, and even then I find it difficult with answers to combo druid like keepers, equality consecrates, and then there is mysterious challenger...

tldr: Any good decklists for druid (preferably combo, but others are fine except ramp) or warlock? Or are there any which wreck zoo, paladin, and combo druid?

Annoyingly I'm missing key cards for both decks. I don't have Alexstraza or Grom. I know Alex is essential for freeze mage, but is grom essential for patron?

    Hey guys,

I've been playing ladder a lot more than usual, and tried to seriously rank up for once, and there have been several difficult areas for me, such as Rank 16, Rank 13, and now Rank 10. I've gotten up to rank 9 5 stars, but I quickly dropped down to rank 10 0 stars. I've been playing combo druid, and zoolock, yet neither of those seem to do very well around rank 10. Before you ask, I'm not the best of players, and it's my first time getting above rank 15, so this is new territory for me. I seem to face a number of warlocks, mainly zoo but a few handlocks, which wreck combo druid, and then when I switch to zoo I run into perfect curve paladins and other zoo decks with a quicker start than mine. If people could give me some advice on getting through the rank 10 area I'd be really grateful!
