Banur posted a message on Can anyone tell me what happened ?Posted in: General DiscussionQuote from SmallIndieC0mpany >>A virgin just did it to me, slowrolled whole game and played before rope ends
Don't worry guys small indie company will fix it... soon™
PS. I'll find you rat
Well sorry, but you sound like a salty virgin, playing what looks like pirate warrior and being rolled by an inconsistent meme deck.
Laugh it off or play a round or two yourself before it gets fixed. It's not like a Nozdormu + Panda combo that outright breaks the game.

FortyDust posted a message on Burnt out from card gamesPosted in: General DiscussionI know you want to focus on the RNG aspect of the game, but what I'm actually seeing here is an intense fear of losing. Until you get over that, you will not find much joy in any competitive interaction. Without winners and losers, there is no competition.
Once you accept that playing the game means losing the game about half the time, you might not worry so much about why you lose a game, be it RNG, misplays, or simply a bad match-up. Next time you lose a game of Hearthstone, don't allow yourself to dwell on the negative feeling of defeat, and do not analyze why you lost. Instead, try to think about the positive aspects of the game you just played. Feel happy for your opponent if something really lucky happened for them. Appreciate a skillful play they made. Just think about some of the interesting card interactions you just saw, which are the reason we all play these games.
It will be healthy if you learn to release your grip. You can't control every aspect of the cards any more than you can control every aspect of the real world. In both cases, it makes more sense just to do your best and try to enjoy the ride. In the end, would you rather look back at all the fun you had, or all the control you had?

Pherosizm posted a message on How to beat Quest decks very easily & satisfying - Wild Druid deckPosted in: General DiscussionQuote from OverholtNA >>This is clearly the Wild Druid play:
Lightning Bloom + Lightning Bloom + Innervate + Skulking Geist.
Just need a 4/4 mulligan and to win the coin flip to start.
Works every time.
A skilled player can pull this off very consistently, so if you're not doing this to beat warlock, it's on you, really.

Pherosizm posted a message on Pure Control is dead and buried, nerfs wont change thatPosted in: General DiscussionWe really need a bit less of "deal X damage" and a little more minion combat. Honestly, isn't that truly what Hearthstone was built on?
At least minions damage can be counter played, too. But dealing damage from hand, or worse yet simply by fatiguing yourself does not leave much options to win except for racing to deal damage. And that's not really fun.
I mean, playing a big/sticky minion can end games just as fast if I don't have an answer to it, so why not at least give me a chance to counter it? Instead the win cons are just racing...

parishbishop posted a message on Pure Control is dead and buried, nerfs wont change thatPosted in: General DiscussionIm personally quite bummed by this decision to not support Control as a viable archetype. I only really play control decks, and usually my own creations. I love long, thought out games, where every decision has LASTING impacts. I loathe aggro decks because I find them too easy to win with, and boring as hell to play.
I get no satifaction from 5 turn games, besides doing a last minute legend run or something , where I have 6 hours left in the season, and decide to pick up Secret Paladin, for example. As control games last 20 minutes or more, they arent a good choice for time constraint climbs.
I see the game has crossed a line they will prob never go back from regarding the power level spikes, and the speed of the game. They are obviously marketing the game to younger, shorter attention span people, where every game consists of OP draw, into combo finisers , or str8 aggro decks winning on turn 5 or 6.
The game used to feel more like a legit strategic card game, where your decision mattered and could affect the outcome.
Today though, so many games feel like it doesnt matter what I do. The outcome is inevitable. Thats not a game for 2, thats a 1 sided beat down.Im not happy Control is gone, and will be slowly playing less and less Hearthstone. Its been over 4 years for me and its been a good run. I just dont enjoy where the game is and is going.

Pherosizm posted a message on If Hearthstone 2 is ever releasedPosted in: General DiscussionLet's say hypothetically, they did want to make HS2; they definitely wouldn't want to abandon all the cards they've created thus far, so those would be transferred over. And if they do that, they wouldn't want to abandon all the players that have been fans for years, so they would let them keep their collections as well.
And by that logic, I see no reason why they wouldn't let you keep your gold and dust reserves. It just seems fair.
The point above about total number values is interesting though. If they were to increase all the values by 3x, for example. All starting health is 90. A common 1 drop will be a 3/9 in stats... They could really flex on their creativity for minion values, suddenly.
It would definitely make it harder to calculate in the late game, when the board is full of much bigger numbers all over the place... and therein lies the complexity that HS was not built off of. So it might not fly.
But it's definitely interesting to imagine.

When the fudge will they bring Miniature Warfare back

True, if we compare what hollywood put out in the 90s to today, it is clear quality took a giant nose dive. Thnak god there are plenty of good films being made outside of studies. Just look at the lineup at Cannes every year.

The op got it wrong, it's pronounced løø-bråm.

Nice, fun to see someone else had this idea too :D

Yeah, i wonder what the majority of the community think of this card. Personally, i don't understand why they thought it was a good idea to print it. Blizzard always say their goal is for both players to have interactive, fun games. This card might be the most frustrating and game ending card printed. Who cares about the winrate, the player experience is awful. Just nuke it by changing the effect.
Now that is my opinion, what are your thoughts, is the card healthy/unhealthy for the game?

i played over 400 games in last weeks brawl, had no problems

I knew we would get a shit brawl after they gave us a good one last week

If they remove the Quests, how are bad players like me supposed to steal wins on ladder?
