Those spells are completely random. many times they would just occupy your hand space. And Mage already plays with almost full hand most of the time.

It is straight worse than delivery drone of Dr. Boom. And the only prerequisite is drawing Dr. Boom.

Reno Mage as well as Cyclone Mage have sooo many better options so you do not have in your deck space for mediocre card at best.

After all most of the time this new hero power (instead of valuable ping) reads: "spend 2 mana every turn on memes."

Only Hunter or Warrior quest hero powers are similar trash.

At least Mage does not need quest reward to be competetive and Reno Mage is super fun deck to play and strong on top of that.

So.  What would you generously leave at mage's disposal?

Concede button and emotes?

You do realize mage does not have healing aside from ice barrier? It is comparable to druid's healing touch and how many druids play this in their deck?

You do realize mage does not have class specific taunts? Well, you can get some from conjcalled mountain giant into priest's grave digger. This whole line is, however, completely different problem to solve.

You do realize that mage has the most expensive secrets which do not offer best defensive mechanics?Paladin and Hunter secrets in general do slightly better job protecting their owners' faces.

You do realize that mage class identity dictates lack of healing possibilities but strong spells to control the board? That is why you face novas, blizzards, flamestrikes and such.

Imagine you can avoid frost novas with direct damage from hand using spells, weapons, charge minions or silences.

Imagine there are some classes (rogue, hunter, shaman, warrior) for which frost nova is a joke.

Imagine actually trying them out instead posting such nonsense here.
