    8600 gold and 9k in dust (including HoF dust). I have consistently hit 7k to 10k gold between each expansion since Whispers by making a pre-purchase each expansion and saving gold from the dailies between each expansion (rarely play arena). Once I “caught up” by purchasing enough packs to have most of the competitive cards (right before WOG), I’ve been able to sustain that level (enough cards to play the competitive deck-lists) with a pre-purchase and saving gold every day.

    i got my first double legendary, and golden legendary, but far fewer golden cards than any other expansion!

    posted a message on How much gold you have accumulated to a patch?

    I had 6960 gold this morning.  My perfectionist side was so happy to realize I was going to have an exact 7000 for the launch. I reroll my 40 gold quest because I am greedy and get "watch and learn"... now I have to win 12 games to get 40. .. ain't no one got time for that!

    Seems a mana point too high. Base stats are a two mana basic,  and the poisons are basic value. And it's susceptible to silence. I understand wanting to slow things down, but this is just a bit overkill.

    posted a message on Druid Combo Getting Nerfed (Savage Roar + Force of Nature)

    I think 14 damage for 9 mana with no taunt is close to fair  (Pyro blast being 10 for 10 in a single card, and ignores taunts). The most unfun aspect is having one or two midrange minions turning it into a 20 to 26 dmg combo. I don't think it's fair or realistic to expect any deck to keep a 100% clear board every turn after t8. I think it'll be healthy for fun and interactive game play as opposed to it being a race to draw the combo or smorc.

    It depends... on Saturday I played secret paladin and took two steps forward, one step back for several hours and only advanced one rank. I ran freeze mage Sunday and went from 15 to 10 in the same amount of time. It's all about reading and knowing the meta.

    It was good to get the feedback so my hopes weren't dashed. I went 3-3 with it. After doing some research and reading I went for 7-3 with a Rouge deck w/ only a few rares. I am really appreciating all the material here on Hearthpwn

    Hey guys. This felt like I got a really solid arena draft, based on the tier lists out there; but in the past I have used the tier list and tried to stick to the mana curve suggestion and still done awfully. What else should I be aware of? What strategy should be employed?

    I see that this deck is a bit slow, but I am hoping that the explosive sheep will keep things in check or the flamestrikes will give me some breathing room if I'm holding high mana drops.

    What do you guys think?

    The only thing that saved  my interest in the game was a friend of mine who had invested a fair amount of research and time. The biggest reason i wanted to quit was I kept losing in casual mode being intimidated by the concept of ranked/competitive play, not realizing that 75% of players in casual mode are high ranked players experimenting with new deck builds while avoiding losses ontheladder. Those titles are a misnomer. Though less prevelent but still 40-50% of matchups in ranked are well equipped players who are probably grinding low ranks to reach golden more quickly.

    Another moment that changed the way I played was watching a few of trumps YouTube videos on basic class strategies, this was featured on the battle net page. Blizzard should feature more of the third party content that will help players become better as it will make them better and more interested in the game. I had no idea how many resources were out there until I saw those videos. These discoveries were quite haphazard, blizzard should be intentional about exposing new players to the right resources. 

    I've been helping my seven year old with his new (two month old) account and I've found that that the tavern brawl mode has made questing less frustrating with his limited card selection (bananas was still challenging, with  spell summoning being the most fun/easiest to compete with a small selection).  But having a new account mode would be more ideal and it should be based on card collection count or hours played, using a strict account age could be frustrating for newbs who are not grinding everyday  to get the most out of their first month.
