So after running out of steam and losing my matches where I played 3 pawns in the first 2 turns, I decided to try Trump's theory that passing turn 1 ends up being good:
- Turn 1: I pass, he plays 2 pawns and deals 2 damage to my face
- Turn 2: I play a pawn and deal 1 damage to each of his pawns, he plays a pawn and deals 1 damage to my pawn and 2 to my face
- Turn 3: I play a rook to the right of my pawn, deal 6 damage to his pawns...his pawns are now at 4, 2, 4 health
After that it was just using a lot of the tips found in this thread. He ended up getting me down to around 12 health before I took over the board, and after that I dominated him. I didn't even have to go through my whole deck.
Of course this could have just been the luck of the draw, but having him waste 4 damage on my face while I concentrated all my damage into his pieces seems good.

so after the rest of the reveals today i can honestly this expansion has the most cards that can be played in standard/wild that i have seen in a while....most expansions right off the bat usually have about 20 cards that actually get played..this one will be way more

Looks like blizzard is stepping the game up with the power level of the cards in this expansion, finally a pleasant surprise. Maybe they realize that they are losing a lot of players and streamers to other games and they needed to do something about it to get back to the top
