In what I can only assume was a moment of genius/madness I actually logged onto the game back when Genn and Baku were going to be rotated into the Hall of Fame and crafted their gold versions - then got all the dust back when they were added to the HoF. So well done past me. But it's nice to see that there are a couple of sets I can safely skip with just a bit of crafting. 

Will stick with Rise of Shadows and Saviours for now and see what I get. Though I do like the look of a number of the Boomsday cards, but might just craft a few. Probably best that I finish opening the packs I get, choose a relevant deck and then see what I'm missing from there.

That's super helpful thanks. Probably dip into the last couple of expansions then and use my dust to pick up any cards from the older sets as I need them. I was always a bit of a collector first and foremost, so it pains me to miss out on a bunch of sets completely - but I'd rather have decks I can use in Wild and Standard and actually be competitive with. 

Hopefully there might be some deals on the cards from the older sets now and then, as I know they've been run before, so I can always wait for those as well. Cheers.

Now to look into some good decks and baulk at the dust cost required.

I used to play pretty regularly and then drifted away just after the Kobolds and Catacombs expansion, so haven't had any cards since then. So I wondered which sets were good value for getting back into the game? I generally played Wild Ranked rather than Standard so would be quite happy with buying a bunch of cards for sets I've missed out on. I'm probably looking at getting a couple of the bigger (60) card packs from some sets.

Sets I've missed are: Witchwood, Boomsday Project, Rastakhans Rumble, Rise of Shadows (is the Dalaran Heist part of this? Worth getting?) and obviously Saviours of Uldum. I also have about 7600 in dust to play with, plus a bunch of other cards I could potentially dust and use (older gold duplicates). 

I've been away for so long that I have no idea what the meta is but I used to bounce around between every class so have no firm favourite. Any help/suggestions at all would be great and apologies if this was posted in the wrong place.
