posted a message on Why the hell rogue is able to play Keleseth on curve every damn time.

there is a high likelihood of somebody feeling like that is happening, both due to confirmation bias and normal variation, buton average it should be one in five games, the main problem is that rogue is allowed to play that card at all, because the card removes rogue's weakness as an aggressive deck by making all your resources more efficient.

get them when you can, but in the meantime, use a one drop minion. minions are much more valuable in this deck. karazhan is pretty important because a number of it's cards are incredibly good so get the wings.

posted a message on Why does it feel like there are way more agro decks now after the nerf?

the new decks are tempo, they lose to aggro and so when aggro was more powerful they did not have high winrates, so they weren't played much. With the change they now are popular. They play much like aggro but do better against control, they lose to aggro though because they are similar but slower. The only problem with them in my opinion is that rogue can use keleseth too well. The rest of these decks are fine. I suspect at some point a nerf of shadowstep, though really keleseth should be nerfed, or preferably just changed to do something completely different because mana and stats nerfs would ruin the point of the card.

so what we are seeing now is what you call a tempo deck, it generally loses to aggro, takes more skill, and can beat control after a board clear or two in some cases. It feels more oppressive though because it combines burst potential and board control very efficiently. The reason you are seeing 3 or 4 such decks right now but not before the nerf is that aggro got nerfed hard in the nerf, and as I said earlier, tempo loses to aggro> Because tempo has a similar gameplan but more top end, It has less consistent turn 5 or 6 wins. This means aggro has an advantage because tempo does not run a lot of boardclears and basically just gets raced down, with worse aggro tempo can take over though and be a little more effective against control, which is good but keleseth is kind of far too good and is the only problem with rogue right now. I expect at some point for them to nerf shadowstep though, instead of keleseth, because they probably love that 2 mana 2/2 no other 2 mana cards thing so much thay won't nerf the problem. Maybe though they will do something innovative, like completely change the effect of keleseth. That would be cool.

remove doom and mistress of pain, also remove the buffs, add some taunts heals, and the 7 mana 6/6 deal three to all.

posted a message on What is the Rogues class designed to do?

rogue is the jack of all trades. Hearthstone shows that by letting them take other peoples tricks, and giving them very unique cards that do stuff no other class does, they have more resources through draws that copy and they have a lot of cheap powerful effects. But the class is limited by it's need to use all of it's resources faster than other classes. It has more options, but it has to use more to achieve any one thing. The new rogue deck works off of rogues ability to return things to hand and reduce cost, which was always good with chargers and on play effects, but now there is an aggressive card that compounds off of everything rogue can do, Suddenly rogue can play aggro because it has a way to use resources to make all other resources more valuable. Basically they printed a neutral card that does something they did not want rogue to do. Because rogue was supposed to need to use up resources faster to do as much, but keleseth uses up 3 cards to make every other card 2 times as powerful. Most rogue things use 2 or three cards to do one cards worth but add back resources to your hand to continue to do such things. Basically rogue is consistently what it is, but neutral cards screwed that up.
