It's utterly brain dead so by all means nerf it but please, please give priest some viable win conditions that aren't either randomly generated or cheese. Give them a dragon support package similar to mages mech or warriors pirate (though not as powerful as those decks need to come down in power slightly).

posted a message on Probable nerfs

Don't play warrior but I think they should buff some non-pirate related cards so 90% of war players don't feel they need to play pirate quest (it's a low skill deck, pretty much plays itself). In standard/wild/duels, it's almost a guarantee pirate deck. That being said, also nerf defias cannoneer so that it's either a, 2x2 damage to enemy minions b, 2x 1 damage to enemies or c, 1x 2 damage to an enemy, and have the quest be 3x3x3 pirates played.

Gnoll just fiddle with the stats so it's less oppressive. A cost increase wouldn't be too effective due to the various ways rogues can cheese it down. Scabbs to 8 mana, remove stealth from the 4x2s, and reduce hero power reduction to 1.

Have Ignite shuffle the card in at the end of turn. It keeps the spirit of the card (prevents fatigue, gets increasingly more powerful) but prevents crazy abuse. Incanters flow up to 4. Most classes need to have their mana cheating curbed too.

I'd like to see some priest love, it had a brief moment in the sun but it's win condition (illucia) was gross and not fun to play or play against, though the nerf obliterated the card (so many more viable nerfs but they nuked it). Discovering random crap isn't a win condition. After several years it shouldn't stay on the bottom but I don't think they've got a clue what they're doing with the class. They said we'd get shadow support but ended up giving the most hero power buffs to mage. I think the last time priest has a decent control deck, which wasn't hated because it was a balanced deck, was dragon and that was literally years ago.

posted a message on Hearthstone Gets Constructed Balance Changes Next Tuesday - Warlock Card Ban, Priest Card Redesign, 5 Nerfs, 7 Buffs

I don't think the priest quest will get a redesign, it's currently not great because of the faster decks but those are (hopefully) getting some nerfs so it would make sense for them to do that first then reasses the whether priest quest needs it. It realistically can't be buffed too much because it literally wins the game (although since it can't be played the same turn you complete the quest, and then you have to draw the spell I suppose it could be tweaked). I do think in its current state, as soon as Alura rotates it'll see 0 play. Can't get out elekk early against aggro, can't keep up with aggro and can't tutor the shard.

It's def gonna be about illucia, and it's def because of how it's played in shadow. In non-shadow decks it can screw over bad players, but it's also easy to misplay because you give your hand away for a 3 mana disadvantage at theirs.... But the way it's used in shadow there's no down side and it's too strong.

Id like to see it reverted to 2 mana, and you get a *copy* of opponents hand for 1 turn. You can still punish bad plays by the opponent, people shouldn't be too salty because you're not entirely messing up their plans and they keep their cards, and it'd stop the way it's being used to stall in shadow

posted a message on About deck of lunacy

What about "Deck of Lunacy: changes all spells in your deck to ones that cost 1-3 more (they keep their original cost"?

You're still getting the upside of having cheaper spells, but the randomness (which is what the card was meant to be all about) stops being so consistently amazing.

Refreshing Spring Water is one of the most insane cards of recent expansions; even in a minion-mage deck, if you have more spells than minions then you're likely to be getting a mana refund and draw 2. It really needs to go down to 1 mana refreshed for each spell drawn, which would make it 2 mana draw 2 (or draw 2 for free if it's been discounted). Someone said mage needed this card? In a no minion mage they already have 2x 3 mana draw 2,  2x 2 mana draw 1-3 (with a spell power minion) , 2x 1 mana get 3 minions, 1x 2 mana get a handful of spells, you honestly think they need 2x draw 2 for free or even gain mana if it's been discounted?

I played no-minion day 1 as I opened a golden lunacy and wanted to see the golden card art, but as soon as i realised how unfair it was (didn't realise about the spell pool being trimmed down) i stopped playing - it doesn't require any skill (which i think is why it's so popular), and it just isn't fun.
