I wouldn't say hate, but it was definitely underwhelming. Obviously, like everyone else, I was looking forward to something new, but sadly, the meta did not change at all with the expansion. And don't kid yourself, it wasn't the expansion that changed anything. It was nerfs that changed it up, and by how much we still don't really know. Odd paladin isn't totally dead and hunter wasn't affected at all by the nerfs.
I'm trying to enjoy this new expansion, but it's still not very enjoyable. It's sad that we have to wait for rotation to really enjoy the new cards, but by then, we're going to have another new expansion. So where does that leave this expansion? Really sad.
I feel that Boomsday and Rastakhan were both underwhelming due to Witchwood and 2017 cards. It’s less of Boomsday and Rastakhan, but previous expansions that are overpowering the newer expansions. Rotation will kill the meta, unlike 2016 cards did when they rotated out. Most cards in play are 2017 cards or witchwood, so we will have to rely on rotation. With that said, Rastakhan did attempt more than Boomsday did with successfully changing the meta.
It seems that Rastakhan has received a lot of hate in the few weeks of its launch. What do you think about it?How does it stack up to previous expansions?
I personally believe that it is an awesome set with cool mechanics. Compared to Boomsday, it changed the meta quite a bit especially with the recent nerfs. I believe that Rastakhan will shine more after rotation.
If you don’t care about wild or your collection then it doesn’t matter, though I totally agree that you should keep old cards to have a solid library of cards and collection, as dusting isn’t going to help much.
You have some nice mage pieces. Frost Lich Jaina in a simple elemental deck can get you far. Getting up in the ladder doesn’t require tier one decks until maybe 10 and below.
I cheered 2500 bits, but I haven’t received the card back. I received all other rewards. The card back doesn’t show up in the card back library for me. Did I misread something about when it is releasing, or is it just me?
It doesn’t give much of an advantage for players who preordered to try the cards first. I got to try out the new cards at the event, and I didn’t gain much experience from it. The brawl was limited to Basic and Boomsday cards ONLY. Play testers were only able to test out new cards, not new meta decks. The reason that Blizz is doing this is to promote the new expansion and get a response and reaction to the new cards before launch. If I’m being honest, I think it is not unfair that Blizz is rewarding people who spent money on the preorder by giving them essentially limited early access.
I’m playing on IPad. The animation removal for heros is not just on my end; a friend tested that for me. The resolution issue could just be for mobile, idk.
I seem to be a bit out of the loop. I just realized that alternate heros and golden heros are not animated currently. Also, I’ve noticed that some cards appear to be low resolution. Could someone please inform me what is going on?
Entrance fees will depend on the location. Typically you pay per hour you spend at one of these locations (check venue details for more info). The only way to open Boomsday packs is from the preorder (you can’t buy extra packs, craft, or disenchant). I’m assuming that the fireside brawl is just play mode confined to a fireside brawl so one can try out the new cards.
I preordered the Mega Bundle and I was wondering when the player receives the bundle items. Of course you can’t open the packs, but usually you receive the bundle items before the expansion. Can anyone fill me in about this?
Hearthstone is a free game... they need to make money some how. The price is a bit ridiculous, but it’s not like that’s the only preorder you can buy. I totally agree with you, but I think they should have the right to charge high prices for preorders and packs, as the game is free and it has multiple expansions a year.
i started this petition and i am sorry to tell you my friend Zetherex that it is useless so i abandon it .
Funny to see you here! I know, unfortunately the voice will remain the same... I'm glad to know that there is another person who feels the same about Lyra's voice!

I tested it in game and it wasn’t changed
