posted a message on Why is everyone against Priest? (Especially Kazakus Priest)

mostly because most of their class cards are not fun to play against as an opponent because they are either ridiculously overpowered for their mana cost even though they are reactive, or its insanely not fun to have all your cards stolen either through cards like cabal or thoughsteal as its unfun when someone gets YOUR best cards for basically nothing

Hex is far more powerful than Entomb.

Consider that Priests have no good class legendaries themselves.

again, like in the original post. i Know Priest is a garbage class at the moment. the point of this thread is talking about the ridiculous design of this card, and why its horrible for the game.
Hex could only be better at the moment because of the relative shaman cards which overall makes the class more powerful, including hex. Entomb is still insanely powerful even with a ton of crap priest cards

Play aggro, midrange, or tempo if you hate this card so much, try paying 6 mana to take a 1/1

honestly priest is in heavy need of broken cards like these. In fact, entomb is the type of card priest needs the most right now. If you think entomb is the worst designed card? Im thinking of cards such as the four mana 7/7 and the dr.7.

if you're having such trouble with this card, play around it better. For example, play a juicy target for them to take then play the one that is more favorable for you. Also, the fact that you are playing 6 mana to steal a minion, the priest hardly has anything else to do that turn except hero power.

dr boom was a powerful card, and i thought the powerlevel was mostly fine. It was considered so op because there were no minions with relative powerlevels at 7 mana. We have a power vaccum in the meta now on 7 mana for most classes because there simply arent many playayble 7 drops.
aggro and tempo at the moment are just curve decks with little to no skill involved. I mentioned winnable games as priest, meaning that it isnt 99% draw dependant if you can make basic choices like games against the curve meta.

    really? its idiotic?

lets take a look at other card games. now, I'm not nearly interested enough in this to actually look very far, but since I love MTG, one of the closet games to hearthstone, lets look at that!

mind control. 4 mana, gain control of a creature

How does entomb look now? would you rather be looking down THAT barrel, or this one?

we have mind control for 10 mana. thats the reasonable cost for it in hearthstone, not 4 mana like in MTG. entomb is far better than mind control unless you are taking a key minion for survival or lethal

is this a troll thread? entomb is insanely powerful, but its in a currently garbage class

no its not, pointing out serious design flaws of the card even if it is in the worst class at the moment. in my opinion 2nd most powerful card overall, priest still sucks only because they have got mostly garbage cards the past few expansions.

i admit this card does make me salty just like most priest cards, but this card's design is just idiotic. It is the most un-interactive element of hearthstone at the moment (excluding Yogg)

posted a message on Entomb: Worst designed Card ever.

Priest in general has a lot of annoying but good cards to play against. Entomb on the other hand is in my opinion the worst designed card in hearthstone and is need of change. here are reasons it needs to be changed or removed.

The Card is Impossible to Counter (except counterspell): the only way to play around this card is not playing minions, which usually allows priest to build control uncontested because they can remove your less powerful or other key minions so easily since 1/3 of their class cards are incredible cheap removal. Mind control minions or cards are either temporary or have significant restrictions while entomb has none. You are unable to deal with the minion immediately.

Has no Conditions (other than mana). many of priest extremely powerful removal spells and minions have conditions such as attack strength. entomb has no of these.

    - effectively combines silencing a minion, destroying it, and then adding a copy to your own deck. (while also removing the option of opponent Resurrecting the minion)

    - its has insane value that is always at least 2 for 1 card advantage. a minion is removed without triggering any effects. you then can play that minion, and you opponent has to use removal to kill that an additional powerful minion. Essentially makes you play more cards to remove your own minion.

any comparable cards are worse mana wise, or have significant downsides. 6 mana isnt really anything for priest either since any winnable games always last significantly longer than turn 6.

    - the card's only drawback is that you have to draw the minion, which in 99% of games is never crucial for the priest to win the game.

Im not sure what changes would need to be made in order to balance entomb besides a 1 or 2 mana increase or maybe triggering the death rattle on a minion.

I would like other people's thoughts and serious consideration about the horrible design for cards like this.

posted a message on Gender Representation in Heathstone.

It doesn't matter what gender/race a character is as long as they are a great character.  if those traits contribute to making that character great then thats fantastic, but it should never be the basis for inclusion. Equality means that we should be treated based on merit (things we choose for ourselves) not factors which are out of our personal control. That should be the end of the discussion.

posted a message on Shaman's Lack of Synergy

ive been playing shaman a lot lately and just think how weak the class is compared to the other 8. excluding the aggro overload face shaman, shaman's synergy is pretty crappy compared to other classes. they have very powerful cards like totem golem and fire elemental, but compared to other classes almost none of their cards (mostly minions) are meant to played together.  in effect the whole collection of shaman cards is not greater than its parts.

Overload in general just cripples the class (particularity spells) in anything  but aggro where typically 1 or 2 cheap cost cards are played per turn.

Totems are just to weak to include them in a deck, with exception of flametongue, golem and mana tide and thunderbluff.

to close part of the big problem is the hero power, which doesnt do enough unless you need 1 of the 4 totems specifically that turn, and then next turn its still fairly unlikely you wont get the one of four you need. it doesnt apply pressure, it only provides a chance temporary relief each turn.

shaman just feels like the developers feel lost with what do with the class so they give it good cards but that in general dont work together because they dont know the the flavor the class should have to make it feel unique.

silence is the most un fun aspect of the game. everyone should read this article by Kibler http://www.pcgamer.com/brian-kibler-on-why-silence-is-not-golden-in-hearthstone/ . silence makes card text irrelevant.

posted a message on Why can't I enjoy it?

im a very competitive person, and i love hearthstone but some days i hate the game for reasons other people have stated. what you have to ask yourself, is do you enjoy the game even if you dont win all the time? i get super salty some days and have to go on breaks of hours or days of no hearthstone, but i love warcraft and i love hearthstone. honestly you just have to be in a state of mind where you accept losing happens and there is most of the time there is no reason to get upset about it (savjz has a reason to be pissed about the race to legend tournament)

Not everyone who plays Secrets Paladin has reached Legend as you see them around rank 15 as well, how is this possible when no thinking is required? I understand that being the most popular deck makes it so that people get frustrated playing against it, but it is in no way OP (as Patron was), it's just very strong. Add some more early game and some Silence and you should do better against it.

this happens at rank 15 when people dont understand the very basics of the game, like playing on curve, tempo. bots require no more information than these 2 things. people who stay at these ranks are there for a reason. the deck is overpowered simply because no class has the amount of powerful early-mid game tempo plays that paladin has, face hunter requires more thought than secret paladin.
