posted a message on Promo cards for reaching rank5

Great idea. I always find that that HS are too unrewarding. There is almost nothing to achieve in this game.  That is bad for online game. And  you are not making new friends and any social activities like in real world CCGs.

What do we have as reward? Card backs that you are not see. Ability to receive ~150 gold (60 dust) every day? It is one epic card of your choice every week, or one legendary every 27 days.

This game are made for money. Blizzard will never do something for fans or hardcore players. Main idea of this game is to receive money from people that play 1-2 hour a day. Boosters with price point of 3 USD work fine. Player that play 1-2 hours a day don't need promo cards, he haven't got even all rares from previous set.

Man, you are getting even less "cards" in booster than in MTG for the same price... Someone would say that Blizzard spending a lot on servers, but Wizards actually receive only 60% of retailer price, and they are financing community, local tournaments and events.

If Blizzard would release at least 1 "Dr. Boom" (Undertaker, Ragnaros) in each expansion HS would get at minimum price entry of  50 + 25 USD for each year of existing. 150 USD in 2014, 225 USD in the end of 2015, 300 USD in 2016. Of course you can play casually without good cards, but you have better chances to win local Friday night tournament with 30 USD deck, than beat control warrior on rank 20.

If you got all the cards why even bother with dailies? People play games to get a sense of accomplishment and since the ladder is barely rewarding enough to provide that the grinding for gold, opening card packs and accquiring new cards is what gives this game it's sense of accomplishment.

I think dailies only exist to answer the free to play model.

Try to play MTG... then complain about money sink.

Would love to, but community here is almost dead. And to play even single game I should spend 2-4 hours on the road.

the problem is that we live in a world of instant gratification. I want all the cards......now......for free..... and legendary.....now.....with no effort.

Never said that I want all, and for free. I just want be able to spend reasonable amount of money on the game. Not 300 bucks to have some solid decks. Because right now I'm feeling just big hole between Zoo and Control Warrior. I've spend enough money to play any "fun" deck, but I'm missing like 300 packs to play something useful.

I would like a world peace for $40

The greatest idea of this topic. ))

You could also just not be the best. People get so fixated on a goal like reaching legendary or getting all gold heroes. It's funny you dismiss Aggro, which is the best for winning, but still prioritize high ranking. I just love to play the game. If you aren't that type of person then you aren't a free-to-play person. Mind you, I bought Nax as well. I figured I should give them something and that was the most practical way to do it. I haven't sunk a dime in otherwise, nor have I had any urge to.

I'm just playing the game. I'm not focused on legend. I'm just finding to play at high ranks really interesting. (that's why I don't like aggro)  The problem is loophole of feeling that I'm constantly facing people who invested twice or triple amount of money in that game. That is just bad experience.

Now for you suggestions. In-game trading won't work. If they do I would make new accounts and get all the beginner free packs and just give them to my main account and repeat. A subscription makes everything go away. No more arena or signal player. You give everyone all the cards? How is that fun. I happen to like collecting cards. No need for gold or packs of cards.

I think actually the core game can stay free to play. Exchange market is the service that you are pay subscription.

posted a message on Free to play is bad for game/money experience.

First of all I'm not a free to play player. Bought Naxxaramas and  100 packs with money (160 usd in my currency). And I think it is a lot for 2 month of gaming. I'm playing this game since open beta (actually 1 month in beta and 1 prior to GvG release). Have something like 800 wins (100+ on arena) and my highest rank was 6. And here is the problem.

To play and have good experience  you need good control deck, including 3-4 specific classic set legendaries. I can play control decks without legendaries, but result is mostly the same. I face people with full control decks. And yes I lose to legendary cards. What are the possibilities?

    1. Play aggro. Played. I think it is not the game about going to face all the time. Aggro depends only on mulligan of both players. Aggro is boring. I have around 300 aggro wins and I'm quit. Played Zoo, Hunter and Murlocks in beta.

    2. Grind gold and craft legendary cards. I see no point to grind gold in this game. Rewards are lame, and actually it really depends on free to play community. Blizzard can't increase rewards because people will spend less money. I just cant play this game for 6+ hours every day on several accounts to get good decks.

    3. Disenchant "unnecessary" cards. Game actually designed that it is punishing you for disenchanting. Nobody in clear mind would disenchant Moltens or even Deathwing to craft Ysera. Disenchant Wisps and other trash? Not enough. In regular CCG you are not punished for trading some cards with other players, and you are not stockpiling every obtained rare and epic.

    4. Play arena. Like it, but since rewards are only GvG packs, it is not helping at all to achieve classic set legendary cards. And at the end of the day I only receive enough gold only to play arena. (my average is 4-5 wins)

    5. Pay more money. And here is the problem. How many packs do I need to have at least: Ysera, Craine, Ragnaros, Black Knight and Alextrasza. Also I need at least one of following: Grommash, Jaraxxus, Tirion, Vol'Jin and Antonidas. It is at least 6 cards. 9600 dust? 384 packs if i have bad luck? And I have. Are you kidding me? It's cheaper to play competitive MTG.

I think it is better to have subscription plan and in-game card trading, that free to play and arcane dust. What do you think?

P.S. At least I have Neptulon. And the game is great!!! Love it!!! Mgghrrrhhrghrr!!!!

posted a message on Make the retire button worth something.

It also makes me sad that I see new players press it not knowing what it does and they lose an arena run. I'm sure it doesn't make Blizzard sad though.

It is warning you when you press button. Sometimes you draft so crappy deck, like half of the choices between wisp and hungry crab, and then getting stomped by mage with 2x frostbolt, fireball, polymorph, flamestrike....

posted a message on GVG Or Vanilla? Please read for advice.

I think most sufficient way is to by GvG packs until you have all or most of GvG epics. Than if you have some Classic epics left, just switch to buying Classic packs. (but it is my point, because I have all giants and faceless already)

All this depends on your needs, if you need no GvG epics, I would switch to Classic after all GvG rares and commons obtained.

Hunting to specific legendary is too random. Most of the time you have crap legendary = dust for one epic. It's better to stick to set with missing epics. Usually you need 4-8 epics in one deck (1600-3200 dust), compared to legendary cards, where you need 1-3 per deck (1600 - 4800 dust). Value is almost the same, but epics have higher drop rate, and in the addition covered by dust from crap legendaries.

By the way in same spot. Have most of Classic epics, but missing all Classic legendary cards except Sylvannas. And from GvG I have only Neptulon and Dr. Boom, and missing most of the epics. Really need Jaraxxus because playing as Handlock.

    What's wrong with murloc shaman?

Murlocs? Worst minion stats for the cost in the game. Worst type of minion synergy so far. No murloc with taunt. No high health murloc. And at last murloc synergy working for both sides of the board.

I was happy to open Neptulon, since I was playing Warlock with murlocs in beta. But it is a joke.

    Mhrgrgrrrrrgr!!!@!

Well, I know its not cool losing battle(s) I lost many today myself but please dont use words Like that.. Its not really neccesary.

My apologies, but it is really annoys playing all day long against 10k dust decks with legendary card backs. Slow, predictable, boring. At least with priests you have some "mind games".

Exactly that is the only problem i had with Mage post GvG they've gotten more annoying - not necessarily stronger - but more annoying with not just those Duplicate Shennanigans but the Echo of Medivh combo stuff as well.

However seeing how this can be clunky to pull off and only works when the game is stalled long enough it's actually not half as bad as the Freeze mage we've known for ages.

Played all day long with this deck. Well I would say that this type of mage losing horribly to control warrior. Warrior have like 20 armor when you play giants (shield slam removes giants easy).

Very high damage pressure can broke it easy, because you have like 1-2 turns of Ice block, to play giants, play echo, and Illuminator with some taunts. Imagine you haven't  one of them, you will lose to smart opponent.

At least killing handlock and priests is really easy, they just cant handle so much giants.

I'm sorry if it was my Echo of MedivhMolten Giant deck. But you know... control warrior for mage is bad.

Today is just bad day for laddering. Was testing my mage deck with giants and echo at 10-8 ranks (now 11 lol)... and you know what? It's  warrior cancer. Every 3 of 4 games today are against control warriors. And most of them are legends. It's my worst matchup. Even playing against priest is like a breeze.

posted a message on GvG is an expensive expansion.

Well you can always play LCG if you don't like boosters.

At some point all packs are 40+ dust. Rarity drop rates is the same, dust is the same, price is the same. What's your problem?

posted a message on GvG Packs: The Hidden Extra Cost

    One word people: LCG

Yes I think drop rates of some commons are weird. (got 7 warmauls, 8 crackles, 9 spider tanks, ets from 60 packs) But is it really affecting spent money on the set? NO. If you had like 4 duplicates of all common cards from 60 packs, you had the same amount of dust as it is right now (with 8-10 copies of some commons in 60 packs). Because from 60 packs u getting all commons 2x anyway.

Real problem is the actual number of common cards, to few. And to many epics.

Your post  shows an issue of low IQ my son.

Who are you to talk to people like that.

And there is no more humiliation for any person than IQ test. But Americans think in other way.
