I personally loved it. But obviously they ain't gonna do this every year as there is only so many characters they can introduce for an original Hearthstone story. Maybe in like 3-4 years we might get something of this scale again.
Some people like to grind for gold. Why? Because it gives some sort of addicting progression that goes on and on and ON. Basically in a nutshell, people like to work towards something whether it be rank or more packs to get more cards to get better ranks. I mean if there is ranked Battlegrounds that would be worth it on its own
Yeah but if they did that, then now they're throwing China under the bus. And let's be honest they're trying their best to go middle ground with both China and the fans and its really not working. Blizzard PR really needs work.
I get what you mean, but in this case Blitzchung did what he felt was right. If you care about a message that much, a ban should be the least of your worries. It is a tricky situation to touch upon tbh. On one hand, that message was really important to give out, on the other it also hurt a company who although gets into shit a lot, still supports games people play ie:Hearthstone, WoW, and Overwatch. So yeah bit mixed on it, but what's done is done. All that's left now is to figure out the response left by this aftermath.
You could go F2P theoretically and climb the ladder. You'd have to A) Grind a lot B) Craft in mid season when meta settles. But yeah its kinda difficult and you won't get all decks obviously.
I have to admit balance changes came real fast this time around than usual, but I still never craft high immediately but usually during the midway point of the expansion when the meta settles.
I mean Captain Greenskin isn't a bad card to craft per say, +1 +1 on a weapon may be a mechanic that might come back useful some day. As for Velen and ShadowReap, they're still good cards in their own right, albeit you gotta craft different cards. That's why Blizz tries to warn people against immediate balance changes, because it doesn't give you time to play your cards, but we protested anyways. That's why card game companies try not to balance too much, cause it really screws some people over.
And how much does it cost to play Yugioh, Magic the Gathering, Yugioh Duel Links, or any other mobile game out there? This is reality, you wanna play a card game these days, part of the charm is the exclusiveness of it. It forces you to build your decks around it, and to pay to make it easier. F2P accounts exist and can already work with decent decks so why can't you?
Why? There are so many things wrong with that. 1) Blizzard loses tons of money over it 2) What's to stop people dusting all of their collection just to make another deck every time it happens 3) Why would anyone want to buy stuff ever again, even a new player's dust collection from a supposed refund like this is enough to satisfy people who spend over hundreds in this game.
Just give it a few more weeks. Remember when people were complaining that Quest Hunter was OP day 1 on Ungoro or how Mech Paladin was Crazy, then a few weeks later it actually turned out they sucked. Wait a few weeks to see the meta settle, then start judging HS on how it is.
