Shadowrisen posted a message on Climbing Diamond to LegendPosted in: Standard FormatI have to focus on World of Warships this next couple of weeks (ranked battles and such), but I will message you when I can get back to Hearthstone with enough attention to make it worth your time.
There are some weird anomalies in the meta right now. Priest is well-poised to have long-term success against Demon Hunter, Warrior, and the All-Out Aggro version of Hunter (Toxic Reinforcements, Scavenger's Ingenuity plus Boar, etc.), but I'm not sure how it's going to fare against the attempts at Control Shaman, Quest Warlock, and the Highlander versions of Hunter.
Either way, the Priest deck is a good one if you actually want to get better at the game. It's a very good exercise in holding the right answers for the right problems. For example, if you find yourself playing against the Spell Druid which features the Glowfly Swarm and Exotic Mountseller, and you decide to blow your Plague of Death on a Swarm with Soul of the Forest, that handles the immediate problem, but you're probably going to die in a couple of turns to Exotic Mountseller plus three or four spells at once. So, you need to try very hard to collect two Holy Novas or Nova plus another cheap AoE to handle the Soul of the Forest issue so you can keep Plague for the worse board state.
I thought of something else you might want to keep in mind. The most successful streamers are NOT those who rely on game play alone to entertain an audience. You have an interesting conundrum because you're trying to play at a higher level and build a stream at the same time, which means you're going to have to get very good at talking to an audience without completely screwing up your play. All that is to say, the priest deck is not the easiest in the world to play at the highest level, so you're going to have to play it by ear.
I imagine things will be clearer as you try out the streaming routine. I'll drop by when I can.

Ravzar posted a message on Climbing Diamond to LegendPosted in: Standard FormatHighlander Hunter, went 22-7 in 2 days, rank 5 diamond to legend. It wasn't even my intention to try to hit legends, but the deck is pretty strong in the meta, having super good match up and equal match up from what I experienced (no real bad match up).
I am playing this deck in high legend. There are some bad matchups. Specifically tempo DH is a very bad matchup. It gets worse the higher you get since people play the deck better and are teching in cards against warrior which also destroy hunter pretty hard. You can still win but its very very hard on the coin. Easier on the play. Its the worst matchup though. Zoolock is tough too. If they get scrap imp they win and if they dont they lose. Just seems they always have it though lol

Shadowrisen posted a message on Climbing Diamond to LegendPosted in: Standard FormatHunter is probably your best bet when you consider not only the win rate, but the average length of game.
I continue to believe Priest is the most powerful class at the moment, but the games tend to run into 20-25 turn range all the time, so if you're trying to actually climb in a timely fashion, that may not be the best call.
Also, since you've never been up there before, I'll just tell you that trying to reach legend and trying to reach HIGH legend (let's say #100 ish) are two VERY different animals. The meta up at the highest ranks of legend gets crazy and more importantly, it shifts radically by the hour. You'll run into the Zalae/Firebat types who have an equal chance to be seriously testing a tournament deck or completely dicking around with something you've never seen. And you'll start seeing the same opponents repeatedly, which means those guys will start trying to counter pick your deck.
But, all of that is far down the road. Grab your Highlander Dragon Hunter and go to work. HSReplay continues to insist that Demon Hunter is staying up there in the win rates, but it seems to me that by the time you're in High Diamond or Legend, everything people play is built first and foremost to shut down the D . . . emon Hunter.
I'll be joining you in the streaming efforts fairly soon. Waiting for the new rig to come in. Good luck with all that, I hear it can be a rough start getting your first 50-100 consistent viewers. But clearly it can be done, so go for it.

Demonxz95 posted a message on Custom Class: Time Traveler (Updated: May 21st 2019) (Finished up to Rise of Shadows)Posted in: Fan CreationsObviously still a little bit of work to be done, but I was mostly focused on just getting the thread out. Over time, I will focus on making the presentation look better and I will even try to add flavor texts. I still have the rest of KotFT and K&C left to make, but I want to get this done eventually and keep working on this. I'm really proud of what I made over the past 2 and a half months, and I hope you all really like this as well.

Betterthanyou posted a message on Go Figure, Druid is Popular! Dean Ayala Talks About Monitoring the Meta & Potential for ChangesPosted in: NewsUI isn't really the problem, it's the collection of some very core cards that have made druid even stronger than it was. Nerf UI and they'll just use Auctioneer and people will just moan about that. Nerf Jade Idol and people will moan about aggro. Nerf innervate and they'll probably do just fine anyway thanks to multiple ramp choices. People moan very easily without thinking too much, but in reality they can't just cripple one card, I don't think it would do enough, Druid is an absolute powerhouse.

user-9346960 posted a message on Get 2000 Arcane Dust? Blizzard Makes Up for Pity Timer BugPosted in: NewsI suggest you go to the Battle.Net store for card packs and read it again. There are no promises whatsoever that this pity timer is promised to you - this is just a thing blizz included to smooth out the odds and give unlucky players a bone. This is what is said on the shop:
There are five cards in each pack, and at least one card will be of Rare quality or better. You could even get an Epic or Legendary!
As you can see, no promise whatsoever that you're guranteed an epic/legendary. You just assumed you were entitled to any sort of in-game value because you've heard of the pity timer. But since its not in any consumer contract, Blizz could - if they wanted to - delete it one day to the next, because that's not part of what they actually promise you to get in the game.
So maybe start reading contracts and EULAs before talking out of your butt.
