1/1 in opening hand on the play if you desperately need one (minor upside, but still...)
Can get you minions from other classes, 3rd copies of a minion you already play 2 of.
Can get you something your opponent would never ever think is in your deck. Like King Crush (or other chargers) in decks that normally don't have burst, something big in fast decks, and so on. Might catch your opponent off guard.
Has some flexibility, although very unreliable.
FUN! At least for those who like a bit of the unexpected. Adds quite some desicions. Will make great TROLDEN-Videos.
Cons:
Keeping this in your opening hand might strand you with a dead card for quite some time.
1/1 the turn you draw it.
Will seldom be something that fits in you decks core strategy.
Will most likely have to spend some time in your hand before you get the right (or even acceptable) minion.
You cannot plan ahead with this card.
Verdict: Pretty slow and unreliable cards. Lets compare this to Unstable Portal:
The Reasons Unstable Portal was played are a) it makes the minion cheaper, gaining you 1 mana and a 3-mana-tempo-burst on bigger minions. And it's a spell in a deck that is based on spell synergy. You could use it the turn you drew it. Plus, once played, you KNEW what minion you got and could plan around it.
This guy, on the other hand... no synergy I can see, no tempo gain, no reliable flexibility... I think playing a solid late game card will be better in most cases.
But for the record: I really like this card and would love to see it getting some love in constructed. But I really doubt it...
Finally someone who is not Rank 25 and understand how crap this card is. Reading this threads responses gave me cancer.
What a stupid answer. The "Rank 25" insult is so pathetic it hurts my eyes. Also, saying it gave you cancer makes you look ao dumb. As a cancer survivor myself, I find it's bad enough when I see people using that word when describing decks, your way of using it is even worst. Grow up.
Oh look 1 more reason not to give Blizzard a cent for this horrible expansion.
Can't wait for you to not get any packs and then be left in the dust in the meta because you are behind. What's even better is that the only one inflicting the justice upon you is you yourself.
Don't worry about me. I've already got enough dust to craft the 3 good cards this expansion will have.
Im getting a screenshot of this and will use it for the next expansion release when other morons will make such ridiculously negative comments.
I see a lot of people saying "Finally a good legendary for hunter". I guess you only played face because King Krush has always been a great legendary. However let me tell you one thing, while Huhuran is great it will be KK what will make people learn the meaning of the word fear in the upcoming meta. King Krush has always been one of the best and most underrated classic class legendaries but now it will shine. (It oftenly sees play in control hunter and with the WoG power up to Control hunter it will be everywhere.)
Do like me: make your own decks, try to find cool ideas. They will probably not beat the tryharders, but that's actually nice: you'll stay in ranks where eventually people are also experimenting stuff and playing gimmicky decks. It might just be me being lucky, but lately unranked also provided a lot of extremely interesting opponents, where I actually did not mind when I was losing as the guy deserved his win, contrary to the netdeckers.
I know I am an eternal optimist and 8/10 might be a bit over the top, but I'm surprised by the overall low scores. But I respect all opinions and welcome the discussions!
We all know they want to slow down the meta, but I think the biggest way this is going to show is when Nax and GvG rotate out, on top of the nerfs that will probably be aimed mostly towards aggro cards. Add to the mix all the "slower" cards they add with WOG, I think we will see a slower meta. For sure it wont be a "control only" meta, but except zoo, I don't see that many aggro decks being that dominant.
So it looks like there have been 67 cards revealed so far out of 134. We're exactly halfway through the new expansion. How would you rate WOG out of 10 so far?
I'll give it a 8/10 for a few reason.
- Cards pushing towards new types of decks.
- Flavor of the set so far is awesome
- Very little "totally unplayable" cards so far (In my opinion of course)
Priest has gotten no seriously playable cards this set yet.
I can't 100% disagree with you even if some of the cards revealed will find their way into some decks of mine for sure. Still, a couple of early-game cards would be nice.
I was looking at the cards revealed so far and these two cards were right next to each other...
Is it me or does the Legendary minion looks to be worst than the common 9 times our of 10?
I get that they belong to different classes and I know I'll be working hard to make Herald Volazj viable but seeing them side by side... doesn't make Volazj look too great, unless you have some serious deathrattle synergy happening.
Crafted him gold when released and used him in a bunch of decks. I think he really shines in slower control decks. Also works in Reno decks. If you can get 1 activation from him it's usually worth the trouble. More than that you should be winning.
Hopefully he fits into even more decks when GvG and Nax roll out of STD
Thats gotta be the most unfortunate abbreviation of Standard :P ... I thought GvG and Naxx were more appropriate to call STDs.

Then again, it's all speculative at this point :)

- Many AWESOME cards revealed, plain and simple.
- Not a lot of cards pushing aggro decks
Cheers!

Food for thought

Meh, not terrible but there are many other cards I am way more excited to play with.

NO need to push it. Kibler is too awesome to lose.
