Turn 7, provided you're not overloaded, is probably best in most cases. It's such a huge threat that people will do everything they can to remove it as quickly as possible - turn 7 at least allows you to get some immediate value
of course there are exceptions and sometimes playing it earlier is ok.
Grind out your dailies and be patient or buy some packs. No other way.
Ladder is really tough when you are missing cards... And if you are flipping out about your opponent dropping rares and epics then you really need to build your collection. Don't be afraid to de stuff and focus on one deck that you like, it's a good and efficient way to start. Zoo for example is pretty cheap and once you have the core stuff you will have a deck that will probably be viable in some form or another for as long as HS is around
That sounds like a good idea - making a zoo deck - I was trying to avoid it because people seem to hate it so much but maybe to get the cards I actually want - it seems like a viable option.
People hate it because it's a good deck and they constantly lose to it. Nobody moans about decks they can beat easily.
Play whatever you like regardless of the community's opinion. If aggro Shaman's your thing then play that. Don't listen to the 'I play control because aggro takes no skill' morons... Play what you enjoy.

LoE is a really really bad choice. Save your gold for upcoming asventure in a few months. LoE rotates out of Standard in less then 6 months and the cards will only playable in Wild.
Bruh, blizz has not even remove black rock mountain, LoE is going to stay for another 1 year at least.
LOE, BRM and TGT all rotate out when first expansion of 2017 releases so less than a year
The only thing I really want from the next adventure is an option to just get all the cards without having to play through the dumb bosses. I really don't enjoy it and it just takes time away from playing ladder which is what I enjoy most...
Seriously? It takes an hour on easy mode, you mostly do not even have to create decks for the bosses but use decks you have
Yup - an hour is still an hour, it's not about difficulty or anything... It's just not a part of the game I enjoy.
I thought you were a troll, I can't believe someone can dislike adventures, it's short, quite fun, easy on "normal mode" and I personnally think the game could really gain from going a lot more in this direction.
It's just personal opinion. I'd much rather spend my time playing against a real opponent. I get very little time to play HS so I see adventures as something I have to do just to get the cards. I don't enjoy it all.

He has potential to be bananas (see what I did there?) but those bananas can come back to haunt you in a serious way and make it really easy for your opponent to get rid of him. Worth a try tho - let us know how it goes
This is an incredible guide - an example of how all guides should be. Well thought out, useful information and wonderfully produced. Look forward to seeing more of your work.
Don't agree at all. The ladder is really diverse right now, more so than it's ever been. Over the last few days I've hardly faced any aggro at all - most of my Shaman opponents have been running mid range decks which are really quite strong.
There have also been a lot of mid range Hunters that can burst you down really quickly but that's not really aggro. Zoo is also popular and more aggro than it was but it's still a board control centric deck...
Ito control, I think it's still more than viable - CW is the deck I run into most often and it's always a hard match up.
The game will never not have aggro decks so if that's what you're hoping for you shouldn't hold your breath.
As poster above mentioned, I don't think it was ever supposed to be OP, just a decent deck that new players could put together and have fun with.
That said, I see quite a lot of C'Thun on ladder. Warrior and Druid mainly but Priest and Warlock sometimes as wel. I'm actually laddering with C'Thuid this month and I'm really enjoying it. Not doing too terribly either.
2. Do you need to hoard gold for the next expansion because you won't be paying $$ for it?
If the answer to either of those is yes then it's worth it, especially if you can get 6/7 wins consistently.
For me, I have all the cards I need and 42k dust to craft what I want. I'll buy the next expansions/adventures with cash so I have no need to stockpile gold. And, during the limited time I have to play HS, I'd much rather play constructed so Arena isn't worth it.

I work full time and am able to buy packs when I want / need to. I've spent more than I care to admit but I love the game so for me it's worth it.

Really can't help you unless you give more info ito what you already have and what you like to play.

Awesome post! Shamans suck and I hope netdeckers go bald. There is no skill involved in this game, it just depends on how well you draw ;)

The answer depends on two things:
1. Do you enjoy Arena?
2. Do you need to hoard gold for the next expansion because you won't be paying $$ for it?
