Wow, I didn't realize that the random spells came from every class. So, the pool of cheap spells I got with my Murloc Shaman was really wild. Killing the Demon Hunter with a randomly generated Chaos Strike felt good, though :)

money rules my friend. Having one card and being able to play a lot of stuff with it is commercially not beneficial.

I disagree. Having that one card to allow people to get a taste of the decks, in non optimized form, might well get them to want to play that deck all the time, or modify it to be better, which would then allow for more sales to more people :)

Something is weird - I see both rares have Full Dust option. Due no dups - if I now DE both rares (each x2 obv), will I get them in next 4 packs?

No, you won't. The system doesn't account for your actual collection, but wether or not you ever had the cards. Disenchanted cards are still seen as owned by you.

I tried to be smart and disenchanted all nerfed rares. They said that we can't get dupes. I opened 2 packs and I just got some priest rares, without dk rares in collection... I have cards so should only get these missing ones :(

That works as intended and explained somewhere: The system counts which cards you have ever gotten for the no duplicate rule. The main goal of that is that you can safely disenchant cards you don't want to have in your collection, and you won't get them again (until you have every card of that rarity). As a side effect, you won't automatically get the nerfed cards back as well.

Which is a good thing. Otherwise, you could disenchant them again, open a few packs to get them again, dienchant, rinse, repeat, for a LOT more dust then intended.

They actually "doomswitched" your account to give you bad draws, so it's just you that's experiencing this.

I hoping for some good math people give me the odds for this happen, I play almost only Galakrond rogue since release and never happen this before 2 games in a row and now was 6.

It is very weird at least.

     OK, here you go then:

The chance of both of those cards being in the bottom 5 cards of your deck is 5/30 x 4/29, or about 2,3% - should happen about once every 43.5 games. Bottom half is much more likely: 15/30 x 14/29 or approximately 24.1 %.

The chance of either happening 6 times in a row is another matter:

    0.000000015% for bottom 5

    0.2% for bottom half

So, pretty unlikely. BUT: that doesn't mean impossible. The chance to win the lottery is pretty slim as well, and yet most weeks someone DOES win the lottery. So, it might still be the case that you have been VERY unlucky.

Also keep in mind that games are independent from each other, so the chance of the cards being in the bottom half / 5 cards of the deck don't change, no matter if they were on top of the deck or at the bottom the last 1, 2, 3 or 1000 games.

posted a message on How many packs are needed to get all the cards in Outlands?
    Quote from XxA0tFxSnipezxX >>

Thank you for clarifying, Greatly appreciated, I didn't realize it was working like that. thought that once you got 2 copies of a common card it was removed from the pool of possible cards to open

That change, while nice for the players, would make no sense whatsoever. You wouldn't even need 90 packs to get all of them, and that is one of the bundles you can buy right now.

Changing the system in that way sounds nice, but the revenue created would drop DRASTICALLY, probably making the game unprofitable and thus unfeasible to a company.

Always remeber: Blizzard NEEDS us to spend money on the game to continue supporting it. Getting too much for free would kill the game.

The duplicate protections doesn't change the rate of occurence for the different rarities. So to get ALL of the cards, it won't be fewer than before. Legendaries are still the limiting factor here, and nothing has changed for them!

It is now just much more likely that you will get a decent collection of rares and even epics with fewer packs. You will never open a third copy of one of those, as long as there are other cards of the same rarity that you DON'T have two of yet. So that will certainly help. It just won't make getting ALL of the cards (which includes legendaries) easier.

I don't have an issue with either of those two cards. But if I had to decide which of them is the more important one for the deck,  Strength in Numbers would be the one I'd choose.

Looking at the data for the Deck at HSReplay, the real culprit seems to be Breath of dreams, though. That card has a Mulligan Winrate of 68.7%, whereas Strength in Numbers is at 60.7 and Embiggen at 60.5. Drawn winrate is 59.8/58.3/57.7, so even there Breath of Dreams is the best card in the deck.

The point of embiggen is it gives +2/2 for a 1 mana increase, which is above the curve for stats. (1 mana is worth 1/1 normally).

If it increased cost by 2 the card would be worthless since you give up a card to get no real benefit.

The benefit would become ALMOST useless. But with ways of cheating out the cards (Strength in Numbers) there would still be an upside. Not enough to make the card still playable probably, but it wouldn't be worthless.

That Res Priest list is...garbage, mildly put.

Indeed. That is a VERY strange list.

Dead Ringer? Coffin Crasher? Shadowy Figure? Spirit of the Dead? You DON'T want to Rez those!

When comparing this deck to the most common variant of Rez Priest I could find, it is missing 10 cards. That is almost a completely different deck.

Yog revert incoming? Make it happen Blizz!

I read it wrong at first as well. But they are only talking about cards that are going to rotate to wild with the next expansion, not the ones that already rotated out. So Yogg is out of luck here.

For Wild, we’re looking at some of the nerfs we made to cards that rotate into Wild with the next expansion and seeing if we want to revert any of them. Will have more updates on that soon ™. Good luck and have fun!

Too bad that it only concerns cards that are going to rotate soon. Reverting nerfs on older cards would be much appreciated as well!

How? By them conceding? What does that deck do to actually kill the opponent?

It utterly depends on the random cards you get and that might acutally do something.

Won't work. You need 7 mana to play them. Pogo Hoppers kill you by turn four or five. Even when trading some of them to prevent you from completing your goal.
