posted a message on DEATHWING NEEDS A FRIENDWING (Class Creation Competition #4) - Phase I [Discussion Topic]

I really really really like this. I love this, and respect the time and hard work you've put in. The new keyword sounds awesome, and I'd love to see something like it put in the game. Here are some balancing suggestions. Now don't get me wrong, I love the cards, but a little change here and there would be nice.

Time Traveler: I like the idea of allowing the player to gain a turn to come up with an answer, but the mana cost is really low. Playing this gives you an 8 mana value with charge. It's basically a guaranteed Doomsayer. It's not hard to clear the board when given basically an extra turn.  It is a hard counter to aggro decks, or tempo decks since they usually have trouble with keeping cards in their hand to deal with ur board, so I'd say increasing the cost to like, 6-8 would be nice. We don't want scenerios where this card literally switches the side of the game so hard, the opponent can't come back.

Everything else looks great! Good luck!

posted a message on Is Umbra worth crafting for Cube Warlock?

Im hoping im not a little too late for this....

I'd say if you had to choose between Umbra and Prince, go with Umbra. Not only can Umbra gain a lot of value IF left on the board. You usually want to gain your deathrattle effects in the same turn she's on. She also sees a lot of play in other death rattle decks like Hunter and Priest. 3 mana Prince is okay. He doesn't see play at all except in like meme decks, which I assume you don't play. He can swing boards really well, if used at the right time but you do have to complete a specification that isn't the best for warlock.

Huh, your trying to fit it in actual decks. This is a card that needs to be built around. Atleast most of the cards need to be buffs, are ways to draw. There is a 2 mana 3/1 that draws a weapon from your deck. This weapon must be to the only weapon in your deck so that you have a higher chance of drawing it early. The Rogue DK is also necessary. Im not saying you need to, but it helps so much. You can duplicate your own weapon to gain two, you can get extra buffs with the passive.

hey I'm not trying to be rude, just trying to run dragon decks with no duplicates is a bad idea. I"m not insulting you, you might be better than me in every way, but I've played a lot of Priest so just giving my 2 cents. Highlander + Dragon = Not that good.

Sorry if I sounded rude though, not my intention.

Huh I haven't read most of the comments to keep my post as original as possible so forgive me if I repeat what others have said.

Dragons are good because of their synergy. They can give players a lot of value for playing more dragons, and since Priest has a lot of dragon synergy cards, it used to be a meta deck. Now that cards such as hungry dragon, etc have left it has left the deck in a weird that it can reach legend but not in the same way. Your Kazakus should not be in this deck if your going to run dragons. Your Raza should also be removed. I used to be that f2p, that wanted all the legendaries for one class and then play them all in one deck, and I understand, it's a good idea but having no duplicates leaves you with a small amount of dragons which leads to less synergy. If you want the legendaries, then I'd say run a different deck. You might win in the beginning and I'm surprised you've got to r5 with this deck, kuttos for that, but I doubt you can go any higher.

Thats my opinion, if you've got a counter go ahead, I can always be flawed.

posted a message on New Legendary Paladin Weapon Reveal: Val'anyr

Excuse me but comparing an epic to a legendary is like comparing Apple and Microsoft, you can't. Legendaries can only take up one slot, and so they will contain much more value than a epic which can take two. Have two hammer of twilights in a deck gives you a much higher chance in drawing it than 1/30, thats why a legendary can be that good. I do agree that this card is a too slow, as I stated in another comment, but Paladin is doing pretty shitty in general right now. (I downvoted btw)

Another Paladin that sounds great on paper, but I doubt it will see much play. Paladin is in a state right now where it has amazing legendaries, but those legendaries don't sync well together. Keleseth immediately attached to Rogue because Rogue doesn't have great 2 drops, only one really good spell, and it has spells to repeat the effect. Unless we get some good cards that can take advantage of this buff, I doubt it will be good. Its a random minion in your hand, and don't tell me as Paladin, you'll have 1 minion in your hand that you want to buff to gain value. Now your opponent is in a case on whether to destroy the minion, or leave it and protect with taunts. He's going to destroy delaying and your have to wait at most another 2 turns to get the buff again, on a random minion, and the cycle continues until he outplays you because your laser focused to get the buff on the best card in your hand, which might be lich king, and then die because you didn't place it. Sounds cool, but its not.

Death discards whole hand for clear of the whole board. He does take up more mana, but its a 12/12 on the board. You not gonna be clearing on turn 4-7 without a good reason the quest. Just use DeathWing if you need to. If DeathWing sees no play so will this.

I don't think u understand that turn 10 is too late for the quest to finish in the current meta.

r u dumb. Wut does that mean. Your not gonna get 10 mana. Ur gonna get 10 mana crystals. U have 5 attacks for 4 mana. On turn 4, your weapon is gone on turn 9. Ur, in an ideal case gonna get 1 mana. Useless. Please think before u type.

Yea I was talking about control, but depends on what we see in the new expansion. Might see other archetypes use it.

K I see a lot of hate for this card when I thought it was good so here's my opinion on this card. Its playable. Minions on the board is something you can control. You can most likely maneuver minions to the edge and kill them. Brawl isn't predictable. Sometimes its good, and sometimes it can shit on you. I feel like a lot of people are missing the fact that since Hearthstone contains so much RNG, you need cards that are controllable like this one. Its good, and I'll probably craft + that animation looks sick for an epic.

posted a message on New Warlock Legendary - Rin, the First Disciple

I love this card, and I'm gonna craft just for the memes because it will be so fun to pull it off BUT that doesn't mean I think the card is good. It is way too slow for the meta and the first like 3-4 seals are leaving warlock in a huge disadvantage. 5 mana 2/2, 3/3, 4/4. Not good enough to keep up against aggro decks. That said, Warlock does have a shit ton of spells to clear the board and DK will help with the health BUT there is another problem. 6 5 mana spells take 3 turns at least. If you decided to play Rin on turn 6 and start turn 7 then you can only afford one seal a turn till the 5th one. By the time you get this Azari guy the opponenet probably had >10 cards i his deck making it practically useless to play him.

Rip, I was really hoping this was a good card but I doubt it.

posted a message on Hunter Custom Cards - Shot in the Dark

Wow! Really well made. I was going through the cards but noticed some totally overpowered and others that needed some buffs. Now I don't want you to think that I'm criticizing your whole expansion. This is great and I can't wait for the Priest one, or maybe it's already out. I'll go check it out if it is.

    Commons:

Call of Underneath: So we already know that Rexxar has the hero power of building a Zombeast for 2 mana. Now this card is crafting a Zombeast one time, for only one mana. Drawing a card is around 1 mana too meaning your giving the player a 0 mana craft a Zombeast with an Animal Companion. Most of the time, you only want 2 of the 3 animal companions, Misha and Huffer. Leok is a maybe but doubt it. This is like an instant taunt or charge plus another minion. You are adding two cards to your hand. 1 mana is too little. Increasing it to 3 or at most 4 would be good.

Posthaste:I I've never seen a card that can unfreeze minions but your also giving them +1/+1 and drawing a card. For 2 mana. Thats not that fair. Too much value for 2 mana.

Starving Raptor: There's a card with the same effect but 3 mana 3/4.

    Rare

Immunizing shot: Allowing any minion to be immune through an enemy's turn is too good no matter the down fall. Giving this to a taunt and its almost like an upgraded ice block.

    Epic

Barrow's Gladiator and Blood Point Tracker cannot be epics. You shouldn't allow 2 in each deck. Really cool concept though.

    Legendary:

Fenris WolfBrother tries to solve a problem Hunter's usually have, card draw. BUT, it isn't good enough. Sure drawing a card when your hand is empty is good, and you can use the train effect it offers but the stats aren't good enough. Making it have 4 attack and 6 health would be more balanced because it dodges Priest but can be killed in 2 turns or lower. Having 9 attack is hard to beat on turn 6 giving Hunter a more Miracle type of play style. Gadgetzan Auctioneer has 4 health so that it can't survive more than 2 turns. If it does, the opponent is basically dead.

Ursoc and Ursol: Man this sounds so cool but too good. Anyone smart enough to have them in their hand would play Ursol first. On turn 6, I guess its okay to have 6 health, can be dealt with. However if he stays on the board its an insta-concede. The only counter to it is silence, and not a lot of decks run it. I mean if this came out, silence would be popular but too good.

    Other than that great job!
