bhihiumu posted a message on Fractured in Alterac Valley Mini Set: Onyxia's Lair - Launches February 15th - All Cards Revealed!Posted in: NewsOh look Curse of Agony designed the correct way how Garrote should have been designed. I guess they finally figured out bleeding yourself isn't how garroting in WoW works. Unfortunately they are giving support to a deck that shouldn't exist in the first place. GJ pushing mid, value and control decks completely out of the meta blizzard.

honkydonky posted a message on Mage rogue and warlockPosted in: General DiscussionThe whole game is ruined by netdecking though, why do an expansion when after 2 days everyone is playing the same couple of decks anyway, its how its always been and always will be, you have to just accept Hearthstone is very dull 50 weeks of the year
No incentive to climb the ladder as rewards are bad, quests and play something else in the hope they fix the game and make it fun one day

kiljaedan posted a message on Quest hunter is totally brokenPosted in: General DiscussionThere is no true counter against quest hunter. It beats almost all Aggro deck, control decks and there is nothin to counter it. Atleast quest warrior there are a few counters to it. But hunter there aren’t any in wild. You can’t out armor it cause they just drop a minion that destroys all armor. You can’t put heal it as they can easily go from 30 to 0 in one turn. And if you try to aggro them down they simple kill you minions off with spells and finish the quest in 3 turns while also doing heavy damage to your face so you can’t react.
and yes this is in wild where the deck is the most broken. The quest is way to easy to complete and the reward way to high for it. Not even adding an extra point to it would fix it. It wouldn’t be deal a dmg. Spell that activates the quest. It should be do 2 dmg. With spells for it to count to the quest. Anything else is just flat stupid. -

RomanKnight posted a message on Owl Warlock is ToxicPosted in: General DiscussionOwl lock is fine. Disruption tools are there: weapon removal delays their combo greatly. You can also mill them with 4mana 5/5 pirate. Or you can just kill them with tempo decks. Also, that deck is vulnerable to big minions. I am playing slow ramp druid and I manage to kill 50% of them. I even survived full double combo (14*8 damage) once, cause I had 80+HP and 5 minions on board. It is no Quest Warlock by any means.

xskarma posted a message on Owl Warlock is ToxicPosted in: General DiscussionIt's like playing against bots. The game feels like running in auto-pilot and there are no tools offered to counter their win condition. It makes me wonder why did they bother giving control decks so many tools this expansion? As a Warrior, I can be at full health with 60+ armor and still lose.
If by "as a Warrior" you mean that you play a heavy control deck with either a very slow win condition or the Galvangar OTK as your only win condition, then yeah, that means you are playing the perfect match up for an Owl Lock.
You put no pressure on them, and let them just draw through their deck and into their combo. That's a match up you are SUPPOSED to be weak in.
The results there are about similar as the results Face Hunters and Freeze Shamans have against you, i.e. a very low chance of winning.
Hearthstone these days is about match ups. And this is a bad one for you. But other decks that match up better against Owl Lock, would have weaker match ups against your current deck. In a perfect world this means you have about a 1 in 3 chance to beat Owl Lock, and Owl Lock has about a 1 in 3 chance to beat aggro decks, and aggro decks have about a 1 in 3 chance to beat your Control Warrior.
You have the choice to play the match ups and take losses to bad match ups for granted, or you have to switch decks and play something you don;t mind the bad match ups with. THere's not much else you can do. -

Xssx posted a message on The new Alterac Meta? - There is NO new Meta!Posted in: General DiscussionStill keep playing vs the same solitaire quest Hunters and Warriors in wild and Quest Warrior and Mage ... in standard.
I am reaching at least D5 every month and I am playing since the open Beta, but I swear, this game was never in a worse state than it is now.All th endless card generation via discover and all the mana refilling mechanics and the ability to search your entire for needed cards and get them or generate needed cards, takes the rest of fun out of this game.
Most games I am playing vs a player who is playing something like a single player quest, not caring about what I am playing. I can sit there and watch them playing 10+ cards per round or even more.
And still no counter for quests ...
I paid a lot of money over the years and I did not regret a single cent, but it is getting worde with every expansion.

BlastBowman90 posted a message on Delete all stormwind questsPosted in: Card DiscussionI feel like the Questlines they added were a neat way to evolve that mechanic, since the quests from Un'goro and Uldum were fun but kinda weak until you finally got the reward. Having it take 3 stages and give you a small reward two times is a great way to make a quest fun through the whole game. I do wish a few were more balanced both in terms of some quests being bad and others being too good, but I still think Questlines were a great addition. They also work for flavor reasons too, since you're helping the heroes we met in the Barrens get stronger through the questlines and become more powerful by the end, which is also reflected in the next expansion with them turning into Hero cards.
