I got to legend and rank 5 area most of the time when I dont have time, almost always with meta coumter deck. You see everyone like sheeps and I sunk them like ships.
People play same decks thinking tier 1 will bring theme legend, but the formula is to play good.
Make less mistake
Know all your opponent decks and know the win condition to counter it.
Watch the opening hand switch and during the game.
Stick to one deck and learn it good and tech on higher rank.
Use deck tracker if needed, not a must. But can show you your win rate, so you know you are advancing with a good rate and what oppponent you win the most. Again not a must, and there are few out there.
Play fast deck at start if you are a person that tilt fast and impatience.
Take breaks
Again, counter meta. It works for me every time.
It takes many games to advance especially from 5 to legend.
Many other tips contact me private.
Enjoy the GAME.
It is not a shame to play non rank games you know.
It is a game that not good for you if you have always the fear of losing. Play every game slowlly and think.I play overwatch if I get tired of hearthstone, and I play this game from early 2014. For me after getting the legend cardback goal the game somehow relexed on me a bit back then, cause I am competitive person maybe something have withit too.
Cheers

Playing in Arena, my opponent's first three tuns involve topdecking a fallen sun cleric for tempo, topdecking mark of the wild for tempo, and topdecking swipe for removal. I received approximately 17 'greetings' emotes during this time. The next several turns my opponent didn't know how to use that advantage, and on turn 7 the board was clear and I play Sated Threshadon. My opponent plays Hungry Ettin on 7, and I get... Sorcerer's Apprentice. I'm a Shaman, and I have Unstable Evolution in hand. I make a totem and go to town... I end up getting a gadgetzan auctioneer and then start drawing as well. End of turn, I've got a bunch of fat minions on the board, 10 cards in hand, and then...
Yup, you guessed it.
I emote 'greetings'.
Karma.

Exactly, it stifled an entire gameplay style single-handedly, and you could cheat copies of him. I played him even in midrange/aggro decks to great results, he was THAT powerful. Not a healthy card.
Good point....except there was PLENTY of aggro around in the LoE meta.

Quote from VirginMinion >>odd paladin actually requires skill to win all the anti-aggro matchups, if your deck doesn't have the answers to paladin then it's your deck's problem, you can't win every single matchup.
No skill at all required. If I want to level up while drinking I play odd paladin. I can be shitfaced and I still win with it’s stupid bullshit.

nope, it is boring
i click play and the game starts and it is even lock and i am bored. then i realize i am a boring person, then i feel bad about myself and then i misplay because i'm sad and then i get punished and lose and then i feel even worse about myself and i blame hearthstone.

No i am not enjoying it. The meta is indeed healthy but i find all decks boring. Even evenlock (see what i did there :D ) to me feels like handlock for dummies. There are indeed many viable decks at the moment but none that doesn't bore me to death after 3 or 4 games . God i hope they reintroduce a deck like the old demon handlock of the patron era.

Something with Battlecry: Silence your opponent's weapon. I am sick and tired of seeing Kingsbane stink up the game, and I am more than happy with seeing a card that punishes players for overcommiting to a strategy.

Hallelujah! My first ever legendary from a card reward in Arena <3 Finally, after all these years lol.

I'm all alone in the world. No one gives a shit about me. And yet I still manage to get 3 different people calling me on my phone while I'm trying to jack off.
Not really HS related, but it still pissed me off.

From a pack today. Next pack was a brawl pack which had Jaraxxus. Happy days. Never had 2 leggys in a pack, let alone 2 golden ones.

Commanding position in arena vs. druid, 26 life, he's on 8, I have a 6/6 taunt and 3 1/1 minions and a 4/1 weapon in hand. Pulls a Mind Control Tech, guess which one it takes?
Totally turns the game on its head, pure RNG, ending what was a super decent run considering it was my 2nd worst ever draft. Mind Control Tech, massive c*nt.
