(1) Cards don't exist in isolation and (2) players shouldn't be punished for keeping a card.

They didn't touch any of the other cards because they're in line with what they'd like the power level to be. You're getting your full dust back on the card that was nerfed, not everything under the sun that was affected by the card.

I still won even after he used corruption to kill one KT on his first turn and then siphon soul on his second turn. For some reason the 6/6 minions wouldn't attack my Earth Elemental.
