If RNG goes right for your opponent, he can trigger cards like Acolyte of Pain, Frothing/Gurubashi Berserker, useful deathrattles (i.e. Nerubian Egg or Leper Gnome), just every enrage minion and probably something else. Also, dat Lil'Exorcist synegry. So, not strictly better.
I can easily name two reasons why Succubus is bad: Soulfire, Doomguard
Soulfire has the same drawback (but is a spell) and Doomguard comes in much, much later.
But you probably don't want to play Succubus with one of those in hand, unless you sacrificed 10 virgins and a kitten to RNGesus before match. Which is kinda uneffective, I mean, where would you get so many kittens? More seriously, it doesn't have instant impact unlike those 2 cards. Also, even more discard is definitely not what warlock decks need.
I'm so glad you liked it. As for comparison, well... Basic cards (well, most of them) are there to let you play the game before you are able to get more cards. And legendaries are rare drop, sort of hi-end reward. And even then nearly half of them don't see any play. So, don't see any reasons why some legendaries can't just be better than basic cards.
Abusive Sergeant does "2nd card for trade" work rather good. Doesn't see much popularity in Priest decks though. And swap card is fun, but since we have Inner Fire, doesn't seem to be ever released in any form. Besides, Alchemist is still there.
22 on hunter, 7 on paladin. 882 ranked wins and 504 arena since wipe, so 500 is too much for me to grind. It'll happen eventually (assuming I won't stop playing at all), and I'm okay with that.

"Hey, can you make your coffee after the game?"

What would you reccomend as a replacement for Cenarius? Ragnaros? Ysera?

Really great deck, paladin was my first 60 lvl hero, but I have not played him for a while. And now I can. By the way, (well) met a mirror deck once.
Also, did someone say "control warriors"? http://imgur.com/a/fsKGR

IIRC devs said that they have this idea in their to-do-list, but not in high priority.

And let him hit friendly targets too, hitting only enemies is too boring and lacks RNG.
