In a way i think the cards are actually too "easy" to get. (I'm Free to play btw)
To clarify, the time i had the most fun with the game was in open Beta. No one had all the cards, every single game and deck was different and even if someone had a high end meta deck, you most likely wouldnt even notice because it was so rare.
The fact that people either spend a fortune on the best cards, or craft them leads to a game where you face the same 5+ Decks 90% of the time, and you have to do the same to stand any chance.
I miss asking my Self after seeing a loot hoarder or something: is it a Controle, or Combo or Maybe even slow/midrangy aggro deck? Should i play defensive or offensive now?
Right now, most of the time, you only need to see the class of the enemy and you could guess EVERY SINGLE CARD in their deck. :(

Nothing in this game is truly rng. It's all calculated and picked for you by algorithms. Gotta keep those numbers in check to keep the people playing and paying.

Just concede 5 times in a row and win the 6th game due to obvious forced 50% winrate rng favor. Works every time.

It's very obvious imho, especially when looking at highlander decks having a larger variety of cards. Play/watch them enough and you'll see that odds in this game aren't even close to real odds.
Nothing was ever debunked, you just don't want to feel like you are being hustled. Confirmation bias goes both ways. Hearthstone is designed to keep you playing, hence the low skill ceiling and super powerful random effects (discover mechanics basically determines all outcomes) to keep the 50% average.
Truth is that a lot of people are addicted to this game and don't want to feel bad about it. We've gotten to the part where "grinding to X rank" isn't even supposed to be fun, we've just accepted you need to put in Y hours to get there.

The game is rigged to keep as many people playing as long as possible. It's basically a more complicated slot machine.
People will never admit it but you as a player have very little influence in wether you win or lose, assuming you are not throwing the game on purpose.
