posted a message on Card Nerf - Preparation

I don't think people get that this nerf is a straight shot at Rogue's class identity. Destroying classic cards isn't good for anyone, except maybe greedy rich folks. This was a tool that many F2P or new players could use. It now means they need to rebalance all the older Rogue spells (which they won't). We are stuck waiting till they release new Rogue cards every expansion, and having to buy them just to make Prep viable.

I am not saying Rogue didn't need a nerf, cause it did, but this isn't the way to go about it. It's really lazy balancing IMO.

posted a message on The newly announced rogue nerfs are NOT enough

How salty can you be about a class you don't like being destroyed? This is insult to injury.

Clearly you don't play Rogue, nerfing prep is a big nerf to class identity, as well as a classic card that helped new and F2P players keep up.
Now people will have to find a new way to deal with Warrior which is an expensive meta deck for most people to get. They will figure it out, but it's too bad that they had to destroy one class rather than balancing the other top tier decks.

From a dev standpoint I get it. It's a lot easier to nerf one class than balance a few, but it's lazy.

posted a message on Casual BM and Meta Decks

While I understand that anyone can do what they want, and playing a game like this will always have people who do this..
Does anyone else find it annoying to play casual to try to build decks just to go up against Meta Warrior, being BM'd the whole time..?

Ultimately I just quit and start the next game, but it does make it hard to playtest decks.

    Thoughts? Anyone else experience this?

You can't have all classes be relevant like "paper, rock, scissors" at this point. The amount of cards, combos, and tech make it super hard.
I don't think you've done any dev work in your life because it's simple to see and know that balancing a game at this scale isn't as simple as you are trying to make it out to be.

I realize you don't like playing against this deck, but it isn't even the highest win rate atm. Believe it or not, the meta is pretty healthy. We have three classes in tier 1, 5 classes in tier 2 up, and 7 in tier 3 up. That isn't bad at all. Each deck also has unique play now that Odd and Even are rotated. It's a good time to play, enjoy the games man.

posted a message on Pre-nerf Knife Juggler, had it not existed before, could have been released as a legendary in ROS.

Just here to say that this is the kind of thread I like to see on here. Interesting, fun, thought provoking. No salt, just discussion.

Not much to add, but I do agree.

    @ OP.

You are asking why people are okay with this when YOU think it's an issue. IDK how long you have been playing this game, but I have.. along with many others.. been playing since Beta. I can promise you, this deck, like all decks comes and goes. It isn't a big deal. At this point it is near impossible for Hearthstone to create content and still keep all classes relevant in each meta cycle. Right now it's Druids turn. Either play Druid, counter druid, or wait for meta to shift. Don't like that? You probably shouldn't be playing a CCG.

Enjoy everyone else. I'm having a lot of fun trying all sorts of decks, regardless of win/loss.

    Quote from Bardles >>

Because the meta isn't even a month old and people already want nerfs.

Aggro decks will ALWAYS have inflated win percentages when people are experimenting with unoptimized decks. We need more data before a certain deck can be demonized as overpowered.

     THIS. THIS. ANNNND THIS.

Yeah, I could see that, but I often play fast to get turns over quick. IDK, I was super confused. AH WELL!

I suppose, I just genuinely was confused. I usually play fast to get the quest done. Just seemed a little odd to me as the game was seemingly normal. Weird.
