Its not as hard as you think. Most important thing is to stick to the deck yo E N J O Y!

for example, i hit legend with some tier 3-4 decks in recent metas( like jade druid when msog pirate aggro warrior was omnipresent, or nzoth control paladin around that time aswell)

I would only suggest you to not play a deck thats lower than tier 3 if you want to hit legend on purpose and not by accident. Try to understand how you win every individual matchup at the start of the game and how you can achieve that win condition and how you have to work towards that throughout the game while managing  and not dying.

always have a plan what youre doing. dont make any plays you dont understand 100% anf try to think 1-2 turns ahead (e.g what is opponents best play next turn, what is my play after his turn if he had the best play, what are alternatives for him and for you?) 

i wish you good luck, you have plenty of time until this season ends. 

And your oppponent doesnt really matter. 1000 wins and 50 times legend doesnt improve the cards your draw and what the best plays are. 

If you make the right decisions (which are most of the time very obvious) they dont have any advantage :) 

focus on your own game and dont care about the rank of your opponent, at rank 1 you will often face some legend players but to be honest, if you can hit rank 2 or 3, you are indeed good enough to hit legend. Maybe if you face a deck like every second match you can consider some temporary tech choices.
