 The need for an Rng mechanic  has nothing relevant about justifying why arch villain rafaam literally has THE EXACT SAME text as another card copied word for word. There is no excuse.  This is just laziness. That is all it is. 

 I didn't mean to justify... I love the game... That card is dissapointing... I just feel like the game has always had some horrible cards in a set...  Does it matter if they have the same or similar effect as an old card...  IDK... Very possible it is laziness... Part of me wants to believe they just think it's cool

 You're right. We should wait to see if Mage will get any good twin spells. If Mages get something on the level of UI or Call of the wild or even Boomship, I will change my mind.

 That's good that you're mind can be changed.  Tell everyone to wait.  That will stop the people from automatically saying that getting a Laughing Sister every turn is better than you casting a 0 mana spell... some of which we havent seen yet.

 Regardless.. Even if this card doesn't find a deck.. It's a good legendary..  People define the cards based on knowledge they have at the current moment..  Fundamentally it's good..

Personally cards the generate random resources are obnoxious anyways (Ysera, Lich King)... at least with discover there is a level of skill involved

This card is the good kind of good and would like them to continue in this direction

 I understand that, but imagine a guy proudly wearing his Legend card back beaten by a rank 18 (or actually being stuck near that rank) I'd be ashamed.

 No - cause everyone can beat anybody - Why should anybody be ashamed if the loose wearing a legend card back?? Nobody is unbeatable - hell , Legenplayers and of course Tournament Players etc. - loose too  - so i personaly would not be ashamed loosing with the legend card back!

 Except that this card back is ''supposed'' to show that you're an elite and you really aren't if you're rank 18

And here I  was, thinking it was an aesthetic reward for having reached Legend at least once.

 This dude is just upset because he hasn't hit legend and is trying to find other little jealous gremlins.  He should be ashamed for starting a thread trying to make others feel bad about their choice in cardback.

 In my eyes the card back itself is meaningless, however, I still think that using it at low ranks is bad. The point of this thread is asking what the community thinks about it.

If someone reached legend rank and wants to rep it.  So be it.  To start a thread to demoralize the fact that they use it but should be higher rank... only play meta.... and grind every month is "dumb"  Some of us have careers, kids, spouses and barley hit legend once.  We still buy packs.. We still play a little every month.. We still contribute to the game and developers to continue this awesome game...  We can use the cardback we want.

 See, that's good arguments right there, you could have done that from the start instead of potentially initiating a flame war.

In fact, I think you're the first one that gives me good arguments on why it can be perfectly fine to wear the Legend card back at lower ranks.

 By initiating this post you started a "flame war" between those that play Baku paladin (Insert any meta deck) til our eyes bleed to those that have already done the meta grind and gotten the card back but choose not to participate and play what we create... Who cares if it isn't good... It's our game... It's our fun...  Just relax..  If anything I'm an easy win on ladder... Be happy I'm trying to make a Glinda, Snowflipper, Blood Troll Sapper, Onyxia, Hi'rek Deck work.. You get a star for being good.
