No I see what you're saying... sometimes I think about how Grom has charge and then there's Earthen Ring Farseer who doesn't, who is stronger?

Oh wait no your logic doesn't make sense.

Either Chrom or Nefarian would be solid replacements. I think more often than not something bad would be pulled by Y'saaraj than something good. Although pulling ysera would be nice, your more likely to pull something like a wyrmrest argent.

posted a message on WOG First Impressions?

My first impression is that it is so much more fun that I anticipated! And I'll admit I am playing a C'thun deck, control priest C'thun to be exact, however out of a dozen games with it (at 10-2) I've only played one other C'thun deck against me. The variety is amazing, in my experience at least.

Personally I am not worried at all, although I see the point of those of you that are. I am just overjoyed for the implementation of standard and all the awesome new cards and mechanics. I think this will be a great expansion.

Sounds like the OP gets a lot of deck downvotes... Don't be too salty

The chanting is quieting, the great idiot god, Azathoth, is stirring. Our world, the next world.. all worlds tremble as he stirs. As his eyes open, ours will finally know rest. C'thulu f'taghn R'yleh.

Money is a lie, life is a lie. Existence is even a lie, we know not whence we came. Spend what you will, when our great father Azathoth awakes, nothing will be as it was, and everything will be as it should be.

Mortality is not the living knowledge of impending death... it is the unknown absence of existence. While our master sleeps, we live. Upon his great awakening, we shall finally vanish.

posted a message on Another month of profound boredom

Boredom is pointless. Joy is pointless. Even excitement and ecstasy are pointless. Existence is temporary, existence is a lie. We are but a great dream of the horrible one. And when great lord Azathoth awakens from his trance, so shall we cease to exist, nothing but a fading memory of his long rest.

it'll likely be labeled a noob deck.

It is very clearly meant to be a noob deck. Everyone gets C'Thun and Beckoner of Evil for free. They want noobs to have an accessible way to participate.
We don't go skiing and complain that the green slopes are too easy and boring. Same applies here.
That was already clear to me, but I'll rephrase what I said. "If the cultist minions are all this vanilla and boring then it'll be considered exclusively a noob archetype." Noob decks don't have to be completely boring and without flavour... after all, the Hearthstone tagline is "deceptively simple, insanely fun."
Point taken, but think of this this way: A big chunk of the Control Warrior deck is some combination of "gain armor," "draw a card," and "here's a weapon." He couldn't live without those things, but they aren't terribly interesting or difficult to play. It's the other stuff you include that makes it not a noob deck.
Are you referring to 'core cards' versus tech choices, addressing the meta and whatnot?
If so then that's 100% going to happen in any C'thun deck I build. C'thun is just more restrictive regarding the 'core cards' that you have to put in the deck. The fact that there are so many cultists (likely 7 neutrals) means that there's some room to maneuver though. Just how restrictive C'thun is depends heavily on the remaining cultists, which is why I'm so eager to see flavourful designs.
Your petty squabbles are pointless in the face of the return of the unspeakable one... Azathoth shall finally awaken and true freedom will awaken us.

Honestly it would probably be best to just play both
