90% win rate with this deck at rank 5 steadily climbing! I like the fact that we dont have many worthless one drops to draw into and mrgglton has single handedly won me aggro games since a 1/3 is relevant as well as a diff hero power most times mage or lock.
To me Elise isn't needed in Dragon personally because you aren't trying to last till fatigue. Heck inner fire combo could work better with one or two cards with a 24 ysera etc
I honestly think Mid Range Hunter is in a good spot, I mean I have a 80% w/r 15 games at Rank 5 to 3 compared to my measily C-Warrior 55%. mrgglton life tap is so underrated and you have a chance to out burst secret palis with a decent curve.
Trying to make gorehowl work... pretty tough to do without getting smorced. It just has so much value I think its worth dropping Dr Boom and only having two 7 attack drops which are your closing Alex Grommash where BGH is irrelevant. Call me crazy it actually is working better then usual with lower drops such as double AOP, Task, and Elise floating around Rank 4-6. Really love the 12 dmg Grommash in Control as well ppl really only look for the 10+4 reach from Death Bite most time.
Edit: Swapped Geddon for double brawl and it performs better since most drops are 3+ health now outside of Pali, gives me a chance vs Egg Druid.
True maining CW this season has been very painful even if playing stellar. It's easy to tilt to some decks who swing their damage in your face and you clearly cannot keep up.
I lost a Freeze Mage game yesterday as CW.... Turn 6 Blingtron kills my charge of Deaths bite and then gives me cursed blade he hits me for 8, I swing cursed blade and then get hit for 35 the next turn. I love Rank 5, swear RnJesus is against me.
I likely in similar shoes as you as I hover from Rank 7-3 past 4 seasons. I would say grinding it out is likely the only way unless you watch some streams and adapt a highly successful deck in a current meta. That being said, it really is a mental thing over a skill. Only way you will achieve high ranks is enjoying the game, getting frustrated will drop you games faster then DJsalt could whip up a beat.
There really is different metas between 1-2 ranks, and adapting to it will succeed greatly. For instance when I was facing pogchamp agg shamans I switched to Patron and back again to CW once I saw all the pesky Reno Locks - Although the win rate isn't amazing vs the locks. Spamming Patron vs a multiple board clear full heal control lock prob isn't your best bet.
Limited playtime results in just being happy with your current Ranks. You obviously are not a bad player!
Stuck at Rank 5 with Elise Warrior, when I play slow and greedy vs CP sometimes it turns out beautifully and makes me want to keep playing the game. Trying to still decide between slams bashes cruel tasks and blocks. After getting lucky with two brawls in the same game today, can't lie it feels pretty damn good to stick with the deck! :)
Hardest matchup would likely by Reno Lock with good draw, but hell I think it counters everyone outside AGG-Sham.
I'm at rank 6 and as far as I'm concerned, the current condition of the ladder is the worst I have ever seen. It's just a giant cesspool of aggro shaman/token druid/secret & anyfin paladin/zoo lock. I've seen a max of 5 reno decks in the last few days, the only non-aggro deck that is popular is entomb priest.
I Know your pain man, I've died turn 5 vs zoo playing patron. Ppl are just playing triple poe from Dark Peddler and Smorcing. Rank 7 now and taking a step back to reevaluate what deck I should play was at Rank 5. I really hate going face and my go to has been control paladin and mid range shaman for many seasons. It sucks to play patron and get cheap wins just because ppl are net decking face rush decks. Reno felt so good while it lasted, I didnt even care when they got the reno and ended up outresourcing me because there was a potential chance for me to just keep outplaying them and outmatch through board control. I'm just spiraling at the moment and it's unfortunate since Rank 3 is my highest achievement for many seasons

I like the inclusion of Dr Boom in the Malylock above old lists skipped out on slamming Boom down turn 7
