Savage Roar is not balanced in concerns to Shaman. They are balanced like every other class besides Shaman. That is to say, balanced, of course, because Shaman isn't. They put pictures on a table of good cards and bad cards and let a fly named Jamal buzz around and land on one of them. Whichever one Jamal lands on, becomes a Shaman card. They actually hide all the great cards under the table and just hope Jamal becomes much more intelligent and flies away from the light. Damn you Jamal, damn you.
I think Shaman in both WoW and Hearthstone is too complicated for Blizzard to balance well. It's not a simple class like Mage or Warrior, there are no simple solutions. The design philosophy behind the class is inherently noncompetitive. They don't enjoy win conditions like Grim Patron, Savage roar, Oil rogue, etc. They don't enjoy extremely strong, non-random minions and spells outside of a couple like Fire Elemental. They are the most random, inconsistent class in the game and will always be like this if the design philosophy doesn't change.
I love shaman but there comes a time when I know I should play another class to climb ladder or be very competitive consistently, it's possible but much more difficult which eventually can wear the player down.
I suggest playign hunter if you really hate it but by no means are they unbeatable. I just wonder why everyone seems to think they are unbeatable as pally as opposed to other classes. Or maybe everyone secretly wanted to play paladin
This guy is obviously really good but he is judging the cards on an individual basis and comparing them with current decks played. That's pretty naive in my opinion, but since you can't really predict the next Gim Patron, no one even tries to. Honestly out of 132 cards, even 2 or 3 cards that are so good they create a new, slower deck, for 2 or 3 classes, can spawn reactionary decks from other classes, which would slow the game down, making more of these cards viable. If there is a Grim Patron for Shaman, and it easily survives to the late game every time, forcing you to play more control, then everyone of these guys would be wrong, at least when it comes to how played they are. They may actually be really slow cards, but they are also really snowball cards. Their potential is great, so let's wait and see and be optimistic
its really funny how cards end up working with each other. Judging them based purely off value is becoming less and less effective. This expansion will surprise
Great in malygos deck. good overall. flamestrike, auchenai, plenty of these cards are played when ur behind, they make you get tempo. THis is comparable to twisted nether, with flexibility and lava shock combos
I guess people are overhyped. YOU NEED A DRAGON IN HAND WHEN IT DIES TO GET THE 3 DAMAGE. So no, it is not a tech card against patron since you need to play a full dragon deck to benefit from the effect. I don't say it is a bad card, but I am not overconfident about it.
you also get the added benefit of faking out the enemy. You play this in a dragon deck, but do you have a dragon in your hand? your opponent has to weight that carefully. You can fake him out, by putting it down with 2 or 3 other minions on your field thinking you dont have a dragon, he gets overconfident and wipes both boards(in your favor or else u wouldnt make the play). Play it with no minions on ur field and no dragons and he hesitates to kill it to avoid wiping, but alas it was a all a fake out

Is there a 1-mana legendary? I don't think there is. Why not?

I'm at rank 10-11 and I have faced 10 paladins to 1 druid and 2 mages and 1 hunter. Paladin sure is popular right now...
