His effect for sure was big, but at this point I think he's more than a regular card, he's a choice you have to do whenever you make a deck that will affect your gameplay depending what you want more. Baku/Genn were similar a bit, but not exactly, they were more of build around for powerful effect, unlike Renathal, you had to put them in their respective decks, and would never put them in decks not built with them in mind.
I agree that Wild is not in best state, but that's mostly because of discolock, and even if some decks mentioned here are lowkey broken, most of these nerfs are huge overkills imo.
First of all, this thread is 2 years old, an was resurrected by some troll.
Second of all, I think Duels has many enjoyable aspects no other mode can give, while lacking other things due to theid different nature. I realy like Duels myself, and if you don't like them then that doesn't mean it's a bad mode, though I have to admit there were things which disappointed me at the launch, but now they're in a pretty decent state.
This reminds me od that card Druid got in Radtakhan's Rumble, which drew a Beast and doubled it's Health. This is better obviously, but I'm not sure if tempo loss is worth it.
Marvel Snap is new release, so it gets more appeal, but you don't know if that will remain true for a long time. If it does, then yeah, it could be a decent argument for claiming how Blizzard can't hold well anymore. And you still can make such claims based on some other data, but this specific one is not a good one.
Edit: Also, damn, I thought this is a post of some huge interest, and that's just 2 guys arguing with each other.

I like Renathal, I hope he will still be viable.

I don't realy like Blizzard/Hearthstone's policy, but damn, they can't even give away free packs without being called out?

This card is from the future! You don't understand it yet.

Shadow of Demise will NOT return to your hand after you play it.
If you cast a spell, Shadow of Demise will turn into copy of that spell, and will remain transformed even if you end your turn.
When you play another spell, the Shadow of Demise will change again, into the new spell.
Hope that clears any of your doubts.

Good card imo, even if Fire warrior will not be viable, this can be used in variety of decks

Sorry for asking obvious stuff, but have you tried restarting a game?

Noooo, I actualy play a homebrew, not viable, Frost Mage deck, and Ice Revenant was pretty much the best win condition in that deck.
