Remember the deck only has 2 close matchups, quest hunter and holy wrath paladin. They destroy everything else, and weakening your own deck with those tech cards will not be remotely impactful enough.

Yes a report across all ranks filled with poorly optimized decks piloted by people who auto concede to shaman is a totally accurate representation of potential class power.
Druid is probably the worst off right now with it’s lack of board clears. Building a viable priest deck shouldn’t be too hard with the tools at their disposal.

This article was to spotlight Galakrond decks. Unfortunately, the Mage class didn't receive a Galakrond card as they're not part of the League of E.V.I.L.

Your first mistake was attempting to play dragon decks in Wild. It should be obvious they would not work there: Even C'thun decks were not viable in the format because of secret paladin etc.
That secret mage is OP is also old news, but that was because of the previous expansion. Those amazing new AOE cards made them destroy old counters like odd paladin and everyone is forced to play Eater of Secrets.
There are amazing anti aggro tools in the format, so there is no need to give up. Just don't expect decks built for standard to work.

5 games. Pulled off the combo once. Requires too many cards to be held for too long. Dead turn after dead turn. If you aren't drawing very ideal cards in very ideal order, you aren't pulling off the combo. It seems to have some potential. But this particular build just doesn't seem competitively viable.

Its super easy to counter tech against face hunter though. Keep yourself healed, keep yourself taunted, and do not overcommit to board so he cant kill you with unleash the hounds

Was for sure expecting at least wolf's pack to get hit. Seems like galakrond shaman will just be a lot weaker vs aggro, but still bonkers vs the rest.
I'm sad for no priest buffs too, would've liked for galakrond's power to discover instead, or random spells instead of minions. Random minions feels wonky and not fitting.

Fairly soft nerfs tbh. I do think it will make a difference when it really matters. But the strongest galakrond shaman cards are still there (Dragon's pack & Shudderwock).
Surprised necrium apothecary hasnt been touched.

Same here. Having a much harder time now. The meta has shifted towards driving out galakrond shamans. Takes a while to rank up now but at least it doesnt feel stupidly unfair when winning (for the most part :p)
Mostly facing aggro hunters, drathrattle handbuff rogues, other galak shamans and a sprinkle of small specific counter decks here and there.
Guessing once shaman gets nerfed, a lot of control ish decks might finally have a chamce and theyll stomp these others decks. Can't wait to see how the nerfs impact the game.

Shaman is genuinely fun to play right now wether it is f air or unfair, having a lot of rushers to make trades with is enjoyable, and getting out galakrond is a nice touch to the whole package. Yes doesn't change that it's strong, but you not liking it doesn't mean others don't.
And surprise surprise: people like winning. it's not too hard to grasp
