Imagine playing a chess game where your opponent start with the normal setup but you have 8 paws, 1 king and 7 queens, that will be fun? Of course not, will be too easy, your opponent don't have a chance at all and you will stomp him very quickly, imagine play the same game 10 or 100 times, I can't play something like that even for the first time.
Why so many players like free wins, no challenge, abuse unbalanced things like this new shaman BS? Playing shaman now feels like using a cheat code and the only challenge is another shaman.
I understand the players of anything wants to win, but if something is broken the players by yourselfs don't turn back for that?
Shaman is genuinely fun to play right now wether it is f air or unfair, having a lot of rushers to make trades with is enjoyable, and getting out galakrond is a nice touch to the whole package. Yes doesn't change that it's strong, but you not liking it doesn't mean others don't.
And surprise surprise: people like winning. it's not too hard to grasp
Some people also have fun shooting fish in a barrel. For me, it's the same thing as with Patron Warrior, I'll wait until after the nerfs before I play it.
I agree with you and your analogy is sound, but not accurate. All decks in hearthstone can be countered by something. I've played this deck and lost and played against it and won. Is it very strong? Yes, so of course people will play it. The deck can still require thought on when to use invokes, where to rush, when to galakrond.
At the end of the day, it's your experience, make it fun for you. Okay decks you enjoy . I know the meta is saturated with shamans but it's about a 1:4 ratio in my experience. I'm playing plenty of decks that can climb, are fun and interactive, AND counter galakrond shaman. Try highlander mage, most fun deck I've played so far.
I'm not playing the deck but shaman is my favourite class, I like the vibe of shaman cards. It does seem like it's probably fun to play, you're always in the game, doing stuff. I'm not running it because I want to get my other 1000 win portraits.
I used to like shaman as a class, probably because it went thru that time frame where everyone thought it was the worst, and I'm always drawn to the underdog. Now, unfortunately, in standard I can't really see a deck to play. . . I HATE murloc themed decks, and the Galakrond theme decks are just OP crap that I would actually feel bad about playing. I have an overload/elemental deck I play in wild that is okm but I can't really find anything acceptable in standard right now. Even a "no Gala" double battlecry deck seems sorta boring and limiting. I hope whatever nerfs come in will bring in a challenging, interesting deck for the class.
Taking the salty OP with a pinch of.... Well... salt ...
I get its frustrating, its a very strong deck but its also very fun, especially the quest version. You can bounce things, empower things, rush, block, draw, you have a new hero in there, you get to evolve things and have 3 different hero powers throughout the game.
Yes, it's a bit too powerful and yes, it's frustrating to lose to most of the time but to rag on people saying they don't care about fun is a bit short sighted. It's a fun deck to play and has a bit of everything.
I started the expansion with playing Shaman, and it went quite well, but I couldn't get the edge in mirrors (surprise), so I went on at started playing Galakron Handlock (with a few changes) and right now I have a 60% winrate vs. shaman.
My point is either join them or make a deck to counter them and just accept you'll loose vs other decks, (I do get my ass kicked vs. face hunter).
But since there are so many shaman decks, thats okay.
CHange the title to "Whats the fun playing HS?" instead.
I play ladder to get legend, because for some reason I feel bad when I dont get it... And yes, playing ranked is no fun to me, so I pick the best deck to reach it faster. Whatever the deck is, ranked has become boring to me. Its the same shit, just different cards(playing since 2014)
Battlegrounds is something fresh though and I enjoy it. I thought I wont be playing it, because of the shitty rewards, but its actually pretty good!
edit: also shaman is gonna get nerfed soon, so relax...

Shaman => win => fun.
It is not much more complicated.
But win is only fun when the game is fair, at least for me...

Why u hav to be mad? is only card gaem.
I like winning too but not with 7 queens in chess and shaman decks feels this way now.
How people don't get tired after 10 games using cheat codes?
the eternal debate about winning vs fun
i love playing the most broken deck in HS history, something to tell the kids in a few more years
Crushing your enemies, making them cry like babies = fun
Destroying your opposition with overwhelming force = fun
Winning = ranking up, more rewards and faster gold = fun
Winning is everything.
Winning, you know?
Imagine if exists a card like 1 mana minion, always start in your first hand and you always start the game, battlecry "You win the game".
Will be fun win with that card?
Actual Shaman decks don't be far away from that.
Some people also have fun shooting fish in a barrel. For me, it's the same thing as with Patron Warrior, I'll wait until after the nerfs before I play it.
Except for shaman all my games with all other 8 classes vs all other 8 classes are fun, fair and awesome.
What’s the time honored saying: 🤔🤔🤔
If you can’t beat them, join them 😂
Wow, love your philosophy.
Sophisticated, layered, thoughtful.
I'd absolutely love to hang out with you. It would be such an enriching experience...

Imagine you can Play 7 QUEENS and your opponent doesn’t, wouldn’t it be fun? Personally hate shaman decks but I can understand why people love to win.
